Scars are reminders, of memories you cannot push away. You might not like them, but they are still very important. Each scar is something you've lived through. Something you fought against. Something that says "I will not give up" when you feel like you might do just that. It's a reminder of who you are, and who you are striving to be.
That's what scars are to me.
