Darkness isn't always a bad guy, and I say that because sometimes he comforts me when I'm down. He hides me from the eyes that prey on me, and he closes me off from the world so I can have some time alone. His touch soothes my skin as the tears slide down my cheeks, and he always offers his dark jacket to keep me warm. Yes, he scares a few people, and yes, he tends to speak softly, but once you get to know him, he's a sense of comfort and privacy. Sometimes I'll go to him just so I can think because daylight is being just a little too noisy. I feel relaxed and creative around his aura and comparing him to daylight... I think I'd choose him. Daylight is bouncy, and always talking, you can never think or talk about problems of your own, but darkness has the listening ear some of us are looking for. He's not bad, he's just misunderstood. If you mature faster than others, he will be waiting for you with his arms wide open. He will be waiting for you to accept his loyalty and love.
Darkness isn't always a bad thing.
