Darkness Then Comes Light

Dark Thoughts:

If my throat were
Filled
To the tip of my tongue
With a poison so harsh
That it burnt holes in my skin
...
I'd let it burn

If I were on a roof
Swaying with the wind
Standing on the
Edge
Just about to fall
...
I wouldn't learn to fly

If a fire were burning
At my feet
In my head
If it were five inches away
...
I wouldn't run

Bright Thoughts:

If you drank bleach
People would miss you
They would cry
They will hurt
They will fall down the path you chose to take
But they will fall
Unwillingly

If you were on a roof
About to jump
Just know that you had the wings to fly
You had people who cared
You had the power to fix all of the wrongs
In life

If a fire were near you
Others wont let you burn
They'd save you
Pull you back to
Your old self
The one who smiles
The one who cherished
Life
Because life
Is precious

Now think
Think straight
You are a beautiful soul
You don't hurt others
Because you don't like being hurt
But
Just think about it
Suicide isn't an escape
It only passes the pain onto another

Do you want to do that?
Do you want to hurt another person
And make them feel
Lost?
Broken?
Sad or depressed?
Do you want them to feel
How you felt as you stood on the edge
With tears in your eyes?
Or as you stared down the bottle
Of bleach in your hand?
Do you want them to feel
Like the fire is inescapable?
Don't pass on pain
When you can vanquish it.
