A small allakai ran through the castle away from the guards. Her dangling necklace swung back and forth as she ran to her room as quickly as possible. "No please... don't take me!"
"She's trying to escape cut her off!" One of her pursuers yelled.
Her ears pricked and she darted left instead of right, it was no use they would already have guards stationed at her room. She thought for a moment then ran into a room. She shut the door then ran to a window.
"King Kunkurou, why is Princess Luna running?" One of the guards huffed from the other side of the door. By now the window was opened and one of her legs dangled out of the side. There was a loud knock, "Luna! Don't you dare run off from your ceremony! Get back here now before the guests get offended!" Her father yelled.
Luna whimpered and hopped out of the window. Her wings extended and she drifted down towards the ground. She began running even further, "No way! I will not let them arrange for me to be married!"
It was soon to be made official. Her hand in marriage would be given to the son of father's top general. Luna shook her head, one of her snow white ears flickered as she could hear footsteps. She hid behind a nearby rose bush and slowed down her breathing.
"My my, causing more trouble sis?" A bulky, dark grey allakai sighed.
Luna narrowed her eyes, "Shush its not like you're being forced to marry someone! Why can't you just marry General Shade's daughter May?"
He put his hand on his hips, "Are you that dim-witted? I already have a mate, Kiki, the female you've met a thousand times?" My brother grunted.
She crossed her arms across her chest and let out a sigh, "Yeah yeah I know Grant, its still not fair."
His tail fell to the ground and swished some rose petals off of the path. He reached a hand out to her, "Luna, mum and dad will find you eventually. If you go now there will be less punishment." He whispered.
I sighed and took his hand, "You don't understand... Lynx is five years older then me. Not to mention he's a pervert... marrying him seems wrong."
"You will tarnish our family's good name if you keep running, not that I care about royalty in the first place. I prefer to protect my kingdom on the battlefield, not by counting taxes." He said placing a hand on his sword handle.
Grant was a commander, he had very good fighting expertise for his age. He has his fathers battle moral yet their personalities are nearly complete opposite. Grant was more laid back while King Kunkurou was strict.
Grant's nose twitched and his eyes widened, "Uh oh... Alert alert." He hissed.
As soon as Luna scented the air she froze, "M-Mother..! Grant hide me!" She whimpered hiding behind him. She ruffled his robe and peered from his side. Their mother, Queen Mira, could be even scarier then their father. Her tail was bristled and her wings weren't gracefully folded to her back.
Her fiery gaze glared at Grant, "Where is your sister?! When I get my hands on her I swear... The ceremony was canceled because of her!"
She gulped and gave her brother a pleading look. He fake stretched and unfolded his wings to cover Luna from her view, "Haven't seen the runt, she ditch again?"
"Yes!" Mira snarled, "She is a complete embarrassment to us! That girl needs to start taking responsibility!" The queen ranted. She spun around and started scanning around.
She let out a sigh of relief and looked up at Grant, "Thanks Onii-chan, I owe you one."
"No problem, I know you're still a little heartbroken since he went missing." Grant smirked then let out a fake yawn, "I'm going to go find my mate, enjoy being a fugitive."
