Chapter 12

I know you think I skipped a chapter but I messed up the numbers after I did that A/N in the beginning of the book so... yea.

Fours POV

After I showed her my umm... scars tris insisted that I stayed the night. I didn't want to go home either so I agreed. Now we were kissing. Her mom walked in and saw us but didn't really care so there was nothing stopping us. We kissed for a few more minutes and then her dad walked in. I didn't notice and neither did tris so this happened.

"WHAT THE HELL!" her dad yells and we break apart, breathless. Oh shit. I pull back and stare at him. I Open my mouth to say something but tris stops me.

TRIS POV

"Woah dad calm the fu- umm frick down." I  says.

"Why should I," he yells.

"Ugh dad," I whine.

"Don't ugh me! I just walked in and saw a you and a random boy making out!"

"It's not a random guy," I mumble.

"Hi, I'm tobias."

"Eaton?" my dad asks.

"Yes." toby says looking down. I rub his back, knowing that it pains him to say that marcus is his dad.

"Oh," my dad says," then carry on." I look at him in surprise because he just told us to continue when we were like making out.

"Really?"

"Well no. I mean like keep on hanging out I guess. Don't keep on... doing umm that." my dad says looking down. I laugh.

"Ok dad." I get up and push my dad out of my bedroom and close the door, ignoring him when he says to leave it open. I lay back  down by toby. "so wanna finish that movie?"

"sure." he replies. I stand up, grab the remote and turn on nemo. Towards the end of the movie I start to fall asleep. I scream,"NOOOO!!"

"What!" toby says obviously startled by my outburst.

"I cant fall asleep I must finish this movie!" I yell.

"OK, OK!"

"Sorry when I get tired I get weird."

"Yeah. No shit" Four mumbles. We did finish the movie but then stayed up another 2 hours. Laughing, talking, kissing. Eventually my mom comes in and tells us that we should get to bed and that toby should start heading home. "oh he is spending the night." she looks between me and toby. "ok but don't try anything. Be good." she says. I laugh, awkwardly, looking at tobias. He looks back at me and then at the floor, scratching his neck. I nod at my mom and close my door. Toby quickly climbs into his window to grab his sweats to wear to bed. He climbs back into my window and smiles at me. He grabs an extra blanket sitting on a chair in my bedroom and a pillow of my bed.  I give him a confused look. "What are you doing?"

"Umm I'm getting ready for bed." he says in a duh tone.

"Well why are you on the floor?"

"Because I'm sleeping here?"

"No you're not silly," I say laughing,"You're sleeping with me," I say patting the spot next to me, he smiles. He picks up the stuff off the floor and climbs under the covers. I roll over and snuggle next to him. He wraps an arm around my waist and pulls me closer. I lay my head on his chest smiling, breathing on his familiar scent, a mixture of soap and sweat, it makes me feel safe. I listen to his beating heart and before I fall asleep I look up at him. "I love you toby."

"i love you to bea." I smile and kiss him then fall asleep to his beating heart.
