TRIS POV
I look at her in surprise when she says I can only save it,
"No! That's impossible, my sister was brave and smart and selfless, she was divergent! And all of those qualities allowed her to successfully shut down the bureau. I'm just a normal girl. I understand that I'm her sister but that means nothing!" I say.
"Follow me." Evelyn says getting up and leaving the apartment. Tobias and I get up and follow her to the higher levels of the compound and into a room that hold a chair a table and then some computers and even more odd, Tori?
"Hello tris and four," says tori.
"Hi," I say, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to give you the aptitude test." she says, "Both of you."
"And how do we know to trust you." tobias says looking at Evelyn.
"Tobias-" Evelyn starts,
"Don't call me that!" he yells.
"I'm your mother!" She yells,
"No you're not!" He yells.
"His name is four, Evelyn," I say, "And I would suggest you call him that unless you want to get slapped acrossed your fucking face by me! You have no right to call him that!" I yell at her, moving closer to her, slowly, with a dangerous look in my
"You have no place in this!" Evelyn tells me, and I laugh.
"If anything you don't have any place in this! You have no idea how broken he was after you left him with that monster, I do! So back the fuck off and I swear to god don't call him tobias!" I yell back at her and tobias grabs me by the waist, pulling me back, away from evelyn before I do something else.
"Hey, calm down." he wispers in my ear, and I nod my head then break away from his grip and walk over to tori.
"I trust you, I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt us." I say sitting in the chair. She hands me shotglass full of a blueish liquid.
"What is it?" I ask,
"Bottoms up," she says.
I give it another wary look before drinking it, wincing at the taste. I glance back over at tori but shes not there, nothing is but the wall of mirrors. I get up and walk over to it looking at my reflection, I rarely do at home. then I look to my right and see that the wall looks as if it goes on for miles. I see hundreds, thousands of myself. I turn, they all seem to be doing the same thing as me except for one, who is staying still. I walk up to her and touch her shoulder, then I quickly turn to the sound of a voice, my voice.
"Choose," it says, looking to a series of stands. some holding meat and other holding knifes.
"Why?" I ask, curious.
"Just choose before its too late," it says again.
"Just tell me," I say and then I here a bark and a growl. I turn quickly to see a dog coming towards me. I back up and I starts running at me, jumping and ripping a hole in my shirt but then I throw it off. I runs around, seeming more distant then it was before. I ignore the fear and panic and sink to the ground. Then I hear a whimper, I look up and smile. There is a cute dog in front of me. Then I hear a voice,
"Puppy," I says I look over and see a little girl that looked a little bit like me when I was younger. But the second I look back to the dog I see the rabid one I did earlier. Crap. It runs towards the child but then I jump up and throw myself at it.
"I knew it," I here evelyn say.
"Knew what?" I ask as I open my eyes and look over at tobias, who just finished and is on the chair.
"You got the same results as your sister." she says frowning.
"I did?"
"Yup. Abnegation, Erudite, and Dauntless, and Four got Dauntless and Abnegation." says tori, also frowning.
"Is that bad?" Tobias asks.
"Yes, you are genetically pure." says evelyn.
"And that's a bad thing?" I say.
"You and tobias are the only genetically pure in the city at the time. This makes you a huge threat to the bureau because you can resist serums and simulations. It makes you a target." she says.
