I rolled over and went to reach for Chris so we could snuggle, but there was no one there. I opened my eyes. He was sitting at the end of the bed.
"Mom, no. You're gonna make her uncomfortable"-Make who uncomfortable?-"No....She's nothing like her...Well I know that...I don't want to freak her out"-Freak who out?-No," he said and his voice was stern. He seemed frustrated. He hung up and went to lay back down till he realized I was staring at him. "Hi baby."
"Hello my love," I said, giving him a smile.
"Go back to bed," he said gently, crawling in next to me and pulling me against his chest. I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep, but I was too curious about his phone call.
"Chris?" I said quietly, hoping he was awake.
"What?" He said, equally frustrated to earlier.
"Who would get freaked out?" I asked, slightly cautious.
He buried his face in my neck and his lip rings were pushed against it, making my skin tingle. "Why won't you just go to sleep?"
"I'm curious."
He kissed my neck softly and I was about to take control of him, but I wanted to know way too bad.
"Stop, you can have this," I started, pointing to my body. Pure seduction was in his eyes. " When you tell me."
"But baby," he said, his mouth going back to my neck. The asshole was doing it on purpose.
"Tell me now," I said, pushing him away and crossing my arms over my bare chest. He sighed.
"You."
My jaw fell open and the tingle from where his cold lip rings were went away. I was shocked. "Me?"
"Yeah," he said, nodding. "My mom wants to meet you. Well," he re-thought his words. "My family wants to meet you."
I sat up, pulling the sheet up over my naked body. I shook my head.
"No?"
"No," I said, shaking my head again.
"I knew it would freak you out," he said, sitting up as well.
I shook my head for the third time. "No, Chris. I'm not freaked out, I would love to meet your family, it's just...I don't know, I'm not the type of girl moms tend to like. Honestly, I'm the one they want their sons to stay away from."
"No, Carlie was that girl," he said and pulled me into his arms. "You're the...keeper type."
We both grinned and he planted a sweet smile on my lips.

"Baby, it'll be fine, come on," he said, holding his hand out while I was still sitting in the car.
"What if they don't like me?" I asked, looking at him gingerly.
He rolled his hand out and pushed his hand towards me even more. "They'll love you, now come on." I shook my head. "Kari, you wanted to meet them, so come on. Now. Or I'll pick you up and carry you in there and the first thing they'll see is your ass."
"No," I said faintly, shaking my head.
"Then let's go, I'm not waiting any longer," he said and grabbed my hand, pulling me out of the car. I fixed my shorts and followed him toward the door.
"Do I look too slutty?" I asked, worried about my rather high platform heels.
"You look absolutely beautiful," Chris responded, pulling me into his arms and giving me a sweet kiss that ended all too quickly. He pushed the front door open and peered inside then stepped in, pulling me in with him. "Jesus mom, did you have to have everyone here?"
I looked around to see a bunch of faces stare at us. Or, rather, me. A short lady walked over to us, and if I wasn't wearing my heels, we'd probably be the same height. Chris leaned forward and she planted a kiss on his cheek. It must've been his mom.
"Mom, this is Kari," he said gesturing to me. "Babe, this is my mom, and well, everyone else in my family."
He motioned around to all of them and I suddenly felt very self concious under there gazes. Chris's mom looked at me.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," she said, pulling me into a hug. That's a good sign, right?
"Likewise," I said too quietly. I wasn't sure what to call her. Mrs. Cerulli? Chris's mom? I didn't even know this lady's name. Thanks Chris, I said in my head.
A rather younger girl came up and stood next to Chris's mom. She smiled at Chris, and passed it on to me, but there was a glare in her eyes. She doesn't like you already, run! I thought.
"This is my sister," Chris said, giving her a brotherly hug.
She offered a hug to me and I took it, hoping she wasn't gonna stab me or something from the look she was giving me.
"It's nice to meet you and all, but if you heart my brother, I will hunt you down," she said in a very innocent voice. My eyes went wide slightly.
"I won't," I said before we pulled away.
Good, she mouthed and I swallowed hard. Who knew a girl who was so much younger than me could intimidate me so much.
This was gonna be a long day.

Let me just say that I don't know anything about Chris's family. All I know is that he has a brother named Nick and a sister and his grandfather died when he was like ten. That's about it. The sidebar picture is of Chris and his mom.(:
