Without You Pressed Up Against Me

I rolled over to snuggle with Chris to find his side of the bed empty. I peeked one eye open and saw Chris moving around, getting ready. I groaned at him.

"Come back and cuddle with me," I said, my voice raspy and tired.

"I have to go do something baby, I'll be back in an hour or two," he said, I moved enough to see the alarm clock. 7:41 am.

"What do you have to do that's this early in the morning?" I asked, rolling and covering my chest with the sheets.

He came over and sat on the edge of the bed. "You'll find out later." His lips came down and met mine sweetly, but the kiss ended much too quickly. "I'll be back baby. Go back to sleep."

That's exactly what I did. It seemed like only five minutes had passed though before I felt arms wrap around me. I snuggled back into a bare chest and smiled.

"Hi baby," Chris's breath was on my ear and I shivered slightly.

"Hey."

"You know it's almost noon right?" He asked, kissing behind my ear by my hair line.

I shrugged. "I don't care. I'm tired."

"Okay," he responded, an obvious smile in his voice. He pulled me up against his body tight and went silent. I thought that I would fall back asleep immediately, considering I was fucking exhausted, but my mind didn't let me.

"My love," I said quietly. Maybe he fell asleep.

"Yes?" He asked, his voice raspy and tired.

I cleared my throat. "Why did you have to get up so early?"

"I had to go do somethings," he said, burying his face in my neck farther.

"Like?" I'm nosy, what can I say?

He sighed. "You'll find out soon baby."

I groaned in frustration. I knew he wasn't gonna tell me, so I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep, eventually slipping into dreamland. It was a weird dream, to say the least.

-Le Dream :D-

"Kari!! Hurry up you're missing it!" Chris yelled from one of the rooms in the house. I was running, video camera in my hand into a room with purple walls and dark purple butterflies on the walls. "Do you have the video camera?"

"Right here" I said, flipping open the screen part and turning it on. I pressed record. "Okay, go."

"Okay Daisy, say dada," Chris said to the little girl that sat in front of him. She looked just like him, with her dark brown eyes and brown hair. She even had his nose, and Chris. Chris looked different. Older. "Please baby, say dada."

She got a determined look on her face, the same determined look as Chris. Her mouth opened and she pushed the two little syllables out. "Dada."

Chris smiled so big and grabbed her, holding her close. He looked over at me and nothing but pure joy filled his eyes. He looked back at the little girl and sat her on his lap. He pointed at me. "Okay Daisy, now say mama. Please, you said it earlier."

"Mama," she said almost immediately, pointing at me as well. I felt myself smile as I stared at his beautiful little girl. She smiled back then wiggled out of Chris's grasp and crawled over to her toys. Chris stood and walked over to me as I stopped recording. He slid his arms around my waist and pulled me up against him. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"She's growing so fast, before we know it she'll be going off to college," Chris said.

"I know, it's crazy," I said, looking up into those chocolate orbs. "I love you."

"I love you too baby," he said, planting a sweet kiss on my lips. "And I love our daughter."

-Le end of dream. :D-

The dream ended after that and I was in darkness, my mind freely going haywire as I slept. What the hell did that dream mean? And I just kept thinking back to what Chris said over and over again.
