"I can't believe you're leaving me again," Manny said, unhappily putting things into boxes. I was moving for what seemed like the millionth time. It was ridiculous.
"You're going to live with Louie now though, and I'm only five minutes away. You can come and see me whenever you want, day or night," then I stopped. "Alright, maybe not day or night, but you know what I mean."
She frowned. "I'm gonna miss not seeing you all the time."
"Aww, Manny," I said and hugged her. "You're still gonna be my best friend, and there's gonna be times when Chris drives me crazy, and I'll be here."
She pulled back and smiled. "I know."
We got back to packing and I heard the front door open and footsteps down the hallway. A sunglassed and smiling Chris stood in the doorway with cups in his hands. He was on coffee duty.
"Babe, I was gone for like 20 minutes and you're not any further then you were when I left," he complained, handing Manny and I our drinks.
"Yeah huh," I said after taking a drink. "I put these candles in this box."
He looked in the box. "There's three candles in there, and one of them was already in the box." I stuck my tongue out at him. "You're slow."
"You're worse! You packed one box and asked me a million questions. 'Babe, can I put this with this?' 'Babe, should I put this in here with this?' Or my favorite, 'Baby, why do you have so much shit?' "
He glared at me playfully. "Well knowing you, you'd tell me I was doing it wrong."
I tried to glare back but ended up smiling. He stepped over a few boxes and kissed me tenderly. I pulled back and looked at Manny who was looking around my room. "PDA."
I went back to the sweet kiss and after about a minute we pulled apart. "We should get back to packing."
"Alright, get to work," he winked at me and smacked my behind. I let my jaw drop and he winked at me, then walked over to my bed and crashed down on it.
"You could help you know," I said, raising my eyebrows at him.
"Nah, I think I'm just going to lay here so you don't bitch at me."
"Asshole," I said under my breath. Manny snickered and I smiled at her. Chris layed there clueless.
"Why isn't Louie here?" Chris asked.
"He's packing his stuff up," Manny answered as she set one of my Tim Burton glass figures in it's box.
After what seemed like forever, which would've gone faster if Chris got off his ass and helped, we finished packing and packed the majority of it in mine and Chris' cars. After an even longer hug from Manny and Louie, I got in my car and lead the way to Chris' house. My house. Our house. I smiled at the thought. This was a big step for our relationship, and I was glad that we were more serious.
A few blocks away from our house, I saw Kylie's car and grinned. Today was our surprise party for Chris' birthday, considering it was his birthday. The guys and girls have been helping decorate his place while he was "helping" Manny and I pack my stuff. He wasn't suspecting anything. it was great.
I parked my car on the sidewalk as Chris pulled into the garage. I walked up it as he got out.
"Do we need to start taking your shit in right now?" Chris asked like a child. I laughed and shook my head. He smiled and started to turn but I pulled him back to me. He looked confused until I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I forgot to tell you earlier, happy birthday," I said, smiling up at him. He grinned back as we brought our lips together again. His kiss was hot, a small hint of aggression. I kept smiling. His hands slid down my back to my behind and he grabbed it, handfuls of it, and pulled me up slightly so I was standing on my toes in my heels. I pulled back as he tried to push his tongue into my mouth. "Restrain yourself, you'll get enough of that later."
He groaned and let go of me, making sure I was stable on my feet before he turned and started to walk towards the door. As he stepped on the mat, a giant black spider jumped out at him, and the noise that came out of his mouth was priceless. He screamed and I started laughing, laughing so hard I was quiet and hunched over, my hand on the ground helping me from falling over.
"What the fuck?!" He yelled. I couldn't stop laughing. I knew Kylie put that there, and I enjoyed it so much.
"Aww Chris, it's just a spider," I said once I was able to finish laughing. I stepped around him, making sure not to step on the mat and opened the door. We turned into the kitchen and everyone jumped out.
"SURPRISE!!" They yelled. I turned to look at Chris and the biggest smile I've ever seen was on his face.
The house could've been something straight out of a Rob Zombie movie, which is what Kylie and I, with some assistance from Allie, were going for. Ryan was too wrapped up in Balz to help, but we did drag her along for one shopping trip.
A lot of people I didn't really expect to see here were here. Chris's brother and sister, Kuza, Franccesca, and some people I didn't know. Chris went around and hugged everyone, except the guys of course, and then came back to me. He knew I had something to do with it, and gave me a kiss. I hugged the guys and girls, and Kuza and Franccesca.
We all started to mingle, and Chris made me stay suction cupped to his side. I eventually found out that the people I didn't know were in Chris's family, people I hadn't met yet. The party was nice. It was just a bunch of people, having a good time. I enjoyed it more than most of my birthdays. Eventually, though, the party started to die down and Chris got restless.
He got so bad that we ended up kicking everyone out and practically ran upstairs. Needless to say, we didn't get past the stairs.
It was amazing.
