She was perfect. Everything he ever wanted in a girl. She was the complete opposite of him but when they weren't disagreeing, it seemed like they were meant to be. He always wondered what would happen if he let her know how he felt. But he was Austin Moon, singing Pop sensation. She was Ally Dawson, shy songwriter, closet singer. She wasn't into guys like Austin. Besides, Austin's management chose his love life. From the presses point of view he's dating Kira Starr. She's his record label manager, Jimmy Starr's daughter. He said that it would be good publicity for Austin. He agreed, afraid he'll be fired if he didn't. Ally just broke up with Dallas, whom of which Austin did not approve of! Austin thought nobody was good enough for Ally except for himself. He hasn't talked to Ally in a couple days, since Dallas broke up with her. She locked herself in the music room or if not there her own bedroom which was off limits to everyone. He decided today wiill be the day he'll break her out of her funk.
Austin headed to Sonic Boom. The door was unlocked but there was nobody there. The closed sign was on the door and was dusty. He wondered how long it has been there.
"Ally? Are you here? It's Austin!" Austin yells out.
No one answers and he heads upstairs. He hears a beautiful ballad coming from the piano in the music room. He holds his ear up to the door, someone was singing amazingly in there.
"why did you leave me in the dark? i searched for you from the start.
i didnt need your love. but it descended down on me from above.
dont you know what you do to me? i guess you really couldnt see.
that i just needed you there. but you left me stripped and bare..." Ally sings.
Austin's heart breaks. He opens the door softly as not to disturb Ally.
She's still playing the piano when Austin sits on the piano bench with her. She doesn't stop playing but he hears her sniffle and a single tear falls from her eye.
"Ally..."
"it's not about Dallas..." Her fingers stop playing but still touch the keys.
Austin isn't shocked but he is surprised. The words seemed to speak as if for Dallas. "Ally, what do you mean?"
"They're for someone else..."
"Who?"
"Austin...the guy I'm singing about has a girlfriend and they seem happy together...I don't want to ruin that..." She says, letting her hands lift from the keys and she covers her face with them.
Austin puts a hand on her back and she flinches but doesn't move away.
"Ally, you can trust me! I'm your best friend. Talk to me."
"Austin you can't help me...this guy...he's gone...he's taken and he won't ever know how I feel..." Ally gets up and walks out the door, shutting it behind her.
Austin is shocked and doesn't know what to do. He looks around for a sign on how to help Ally. He spots her song book and takes a quick glance. No harm in peeking right? He takes the book and reads from a list entitled Inspiration.
Inspiration
-love
-heartbreak
-Dallas
-Austin
-Kira
-he loves her not me
Under the list was a picture cut out of a magazine of Austin and Kira hugging each other and smiling happily at the camera. It was dried, but Austin could make out tear stains at the bottom of the page. Then fresh ones appeared, coming out of Austin's eyes.
"Oh, Ally. If only you knew how much I loved you and how cruel management was being for making me date Kira..." Austin sighs, putting the book back where he got it from, as to not displace it for Ally. He stands up from the piano bench and turns around to find Ally standing in the doorway. Austin stops in his tracks, unable to move or speak.
"Ally I...uhm I wasn't touching your book or anything..." Austin says nervously. Ally walks up to Austin and stands in front of him, looking up into his eyes.
"Did you really mean all that you said, Austin?" she asks. Austin smiles and nods. She smiles back and wraps her arms around Austin.
"I love you, Austin." She says, eyes closed, arms still around Austin.
Austin finally registers whats going on and hugs her back even tighter.
"I love you, Ally."
