Ally's POV
Elliott had his arm around me. I felt uncomfortable, yet strangely comforted. I rested my head on his shoulder. We sat like that for a long while before he broke the silence.
"Do you want to go somewhere?" He asks me. I almost shake my head then think.
"Well, the last time I came to LA, I went to this Observatory. The view was beautiful." I say.
"I think I know which one you're talking about. Let's go!" He says with a smile.
I weakly smile back. "Can I get my stuff first? I left it next to the stage."
"Do you want me to get it for you? I can-" He starts.
"No, no. I could get it." I cut him off, with a smile at the end. He nods and smiles reassuringly at me. I stand up and walk to the door.
I walk down the hall I came from before running into Elliott and peer over the corner to make sure Austin wasn't there. When I see Trish, Dez, and Austin's cousins talking to each other, I breathe a sigh of relief, unsure whether Austin told them what happened or not. I walk into their conversation casually, trying to go unnoticed, but of course failing at it.
"Hey, Ally! What are you doing?" Trish asks, stopping mid-conversation with Rydel. Both of the girls look at me and I smile back.
"Just gathering my stuff, I'm leaving with a friend, so don't worry about me." I say, trying to seem distracted by looking for my stuff.
"Do you need help, Ally?" Rydel asks.
I smile and shake my head. "No, I'm okay."
"Austin, told us what happened...are you sure you're okay?" Rydel asks again. My smile alters but I try my best to keep the happiness in my eyes.
"I'm fine, really." I say again. Rydel trusts me this time and smiles back. Trish steps in, and, knowing her, she knows I'm lying.
"So, Ally, who's this friend that you're leaving with?" Trish asks.
We have a minimal stare down and then I smile. "Elliott."
"Okay...have fun. But don't come back too late. Okay?" She asks me with a warning look. I give her the don't-worry-about-me look and she smiles back.
"Okay. I'll see you guys soon!" I say, hugging her then Rydel, then going to the boys to say bye to them also.
"Yeah, my friend Lexi is perfect for you!" I hear Dez say to one of them. I don't say anything, but listen to their conversation silently with a smile.
"Are you sure? Riker is very picky with his girls." Rocky says. They all share a laugh and I semi join in.
"Shut up, Rocky. Anyway, Dez, what does she look like?" Riker asks.
"She has long black hair, She's 5'2, she's a huge fan of you guys actually, and she's really nice. She's Asian, if you're into Asian girls." Dez adds with a goofy grin.
Rocky shakes Riker's shoulders. "Riker likes Asian girls!"
Riker blushes. "Rocky, stop! Dez, how do you even know this girl likes me?"
"You're her favorite, Riker!" Dez says excitedly.
"Okay, okay, okay. Well, give me her number and I'll give her a call sometime." Riker says, obviously smitten.
"Yeah, Riker! Get some!" Ryland says, joining the circle with Ratliff.
I smile and laugh through the pain and was about to say my goodbyes when Dez finally realizes I was standing right next to him.
