The Beginning of the End

Sacrifice

Everyone stares at me and my face turns red, Jessie glares at me with shiny eyes and she takes a deep breathe.

"Whatever....but Im coming with" growls Jessie.

Everyone says what may be there last goodbyes then everyone going grabs weapons and bags and leaves. We walk down the road cautiously and sweat in the hot sun,Everyone starts panting and i shake my head.

"We have been gone for 20 seconds we are not taking a break yet...if the heat is to much for you then go back to the cabin!" I yell.

Jessie shushes me and pushes me to keep walking.

We arrive at an old abandoned house about a half hour later.

"We'll check this place first", I say, " four people should go inside and two people should go to the garage"

"Me and lise can go to the garage" says James.

"Ok so me Brian Alyssa and Jessie are going inside" I say.

I watch James and Lise walk to the garage then I follow my group as they walk inside. I walk through a huge spider web and start coughing and struggling to get it off of me.

"It's nasty in here" states Alyssa.

"Ya....I agree" replies Jessie.

I go ahead of everyone and squeeze the handle of the machete, we all walk upstairs and start looking through the piles of stuff. I grab a couple things every here and there and shove them into my bag.

"I wonder if They're having any luck" says Brian.

I shrug and walk to another room. AAAAHHHH!!!! I hear Alyssa and jessie screaming and freaking out and I grab my machete then run back by them.....thats....when I see....Lyssa lying there.....being ripped apart by zombies. My heart sinks into my stomach and I feel tears streaming down my face.

"ALYSSA!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

I look over at the steps and see more zombies coming up.

"JESS WATCH OUT!" I yell.

She moves out of the way and a zombie falls over.

"We gotta get out of here" explains brian.

I look at them then to Alyssa then back at them.

"ALLI!!!HELP ME!!!" Screams Alyssa.

I run over to her and slash the zombies heads in half.

"Hurry ILL GIVE YOU TIME TO SAY GOODBYE BUT WE CAN ONLY HOLD THEM BACK FOR SO LONG!" Jessie yells.

I kneel down by Alyssa with tears and blood covering my face.

"i'm so so sorry Lyssa" I cry.

I look back at them fighting the zombies then back to my sister.

She weakly smiles at me and puts her hand on my cheek.

"I...its o...k...kay"she says.

She coughs up some blood and a couple bloody tears roll down her cheek.

"No...i..i knew i shouldn't have let you come", I explain, "this is my fault"

She sadly giggles and shakes her head wincing in pain.

"No its n...not i ch...chose to come" ,Alyssa explains, "its m....my fault"

"We can't hold them back much longer theres to many!" Yells Brian.

Alyssa struggles to get up and she leans against the wall then slowly walks over to them.

"I l...love you....Alli" Says Alyssa.

"I love you too" I reply.

"What are you doing?" Asks Jessie.

"Saving you" says Alyssa.

She jumps into the hoard if zombies and they all start eating her.

"NOOOOOO!" I scream.

I stand there and feel a pain in my chest, which I can only assume is from my heart breaking.

"GOOOO!!!WHILE YOU HAVE TIME!!!" Yells Alyssa.

"How are we gonna get out the stairs are blocked" explains Brian.

I look at Jessie trying to open the window, then the last thing I see of her before it happend is a walker push her into the window, breaking it and they both fall a couple stories to the ground.

"JESSIE!!!" Me and Brian yell.

I run to the window and climb down, Brian runs down and jumps out of the window landing on a hay bale.

I slash the zombies head in half and we run over to Lise and James.

"What happend Alli you eyes are red and puffy" he says.

I run up and hug him and start crying into his shoulder, he squeezes me.

"Wheres Alyssa?" Asks Lise with sadness piercing her voice.

Brian and Jessie look up to the house.

"She sacrificed herself to save us" explains Jessie.

Lise breaks down and starts balling.

"We gotta go!" Yells Brian.

Brian picks up Lise and helps Jessie walk.

"Come on we gotta make sure the zombies dont follow!" Brian yells.

I stay close to james' side, and he puts his arm around me to comfort me.AHHHH!!! Jessie screams and I look back and start screaming and crying.
