The Beginning of the End

The book

I sit there in the cold dark wilderness and glare blankly into the abyss. I don't want to face the fact that it's been five hours and Brian probably isn't coming back. I don't wanna find out what happened to him or where he is.

"Lets go this way" Says a girls voice.

I look towards where I heard the sound and stand up slowly.

"Why that way? you can't see anything, how do you know nothings down there?" A boy asks.

"Tyler can you just shut the h*** up? PLEASE" Says another girl.

I hear him sigh.

"Why don't we go into this huddle of trees or whatever" Says another boy.

"Fine Keegan if that's what you deeply desire then we will go that way" Says the first girl.

"Thank you Rayna" Keegan says.

'Rayna, Keegan, Tay...Tyler, whats the other girls name?' I ask myself.

"Mary wheres the flashlight?" Tyler asks.

I hear her unzip something then a light turns on.

Oh sh**. I move out of the way and they look toward me.

"HEY THERES SOMETHING OVER THERE!" Yells Tyler.

Keegan and Rayna point there guns at me.

"STAND UP!" Yells Keegan.

I slowly stand up and put my hands up to surrender.

"Name?"Asks Tyler.

"Allison Martin" I reply.

"What are you doing out here at this time of night?" Tyler asks.

I sigh and look down at my bloody and bandaged leg.

"Long story" I say.

Tyler directs his eyes toward my bloody arm and my bloody leg.

"You get bit?" He asks.

I shake my head.

"Again it's a long story" I reply.

He huffs.

"It was a yes or no question dear" He says.

I sigh and look at him.

"Yes I got bit", I explain," but not by a zombie"

He looks at the rest of his team then back at me and shrugs.

"Alright, what are you doing out here? are you alone?" He asks.

I nod.

"Yes i'm alone..." I reply.

I sigh.

"Alright well....would you like to join us?" He asks.

I widen my eyes and look toward him.

"I...I guess but could we wait here for something though?" I ask.

He nods.

"Well, i guess" He says.

~1 hour later~

I sit by the fire and stare blankly into the glowing ball of light. Tyler and Keegan sit next to each other and Rayna and Mary sleep.

"So...." Keegan says.

I ignore him and continue to stare into the blazing hot light.

"You wanna tell us your story?" He asks.

I look over toward him.

"Well..." He says.

I sigh and look back into the fire.

"Well I don't think you wanna know the boring details..so a couple weeks ago we got to this cabin.." Tyler cuts me off.

"We?" He asks.

"Ya me my three sisters my brother, Brian, My dad, Victoria, James and more people" I say.

"OK....continue" He says.

"To make the story shorter, I almost died My sister did die and my friend Brian disappeared" I say.

They stare blankly at me.

"I...I'm sorry" Says Tyler.

I sigh and shrug.

"It's fine" I say.

I cough and shake my head.

"I'm gonna go for a walk" I say.

I slowly stand up and wince in pain then I start walking through the woods. A couple minutes later I find a place that looks very familiar. I look across the road and see....

"THE CABIN!" I whisper.

I run as fast as my injured leg will let me through the woods, across the road, and finally home. I walk inside and turn the lanterns on.

"LISE! BRIAN! JAMES!"I yell.

I look around and don't see anyone or anything.

"GUYS!" I ask.

I walk up stairs and look around and again don't see anyone. My heart starts pounding and all of my nightmares have come true.

It's only been like a couple hours...

"Guys?" I say in a choked voice.

I go into me and Janies room and see a notebook sitting on the bed and written on the front says "Janes". I grab it and plop onto the bed.

"Janie" I sob.

I grab a flashlight by the bed and open the book.

/Jane day 1 of the end

Idk wat happened but something went wrong and...something happened, something bad thats gonna cause many deaths, MANY deaths./

Tears roll down my cheeks and my throat begins to ache. I put a hand over my mouth and keep myself calm.

Hours pass by as I continue to read Janies book, about six pages per day and it gets longer and sadder as the days go by.

Alli I left this for you so you know where we are and you know how much I care, Willow, you, and Brian disappeared so we are going on a search for all of you. Me and James made a promise that we would be back in 2 weeks, so if you are reading this please don't look for us and please just hold tight and wait for the time to pass by, the 2 weeks till we return. Alli I miss you so much and I really hope your reading this and not dead somewhere out there because...I can't live without you. I...I love you Alli <3/

I can't take it anymore and I start sobbing, I drop the book and the light and shove my face into a pillow and sob. I throw the pillow at the wall and scream. Thats when I hear a door close and I shut up and slowly stand up grabbing my knife from under the bed.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Greetings" Replies a voice.
