The beginning of the end Pt 40

I get Carl inside.

"Stay here, no matter what happens"

I kiss his forehead then run back outside.

"Crystal!" I yell.

She breathes heavily as I kneel down next to her.

"T...Take...C..care of my b...baby" she says.

I nod and hold back tears.

"I will"

I hold her hand and she starts crying.

"I used to want this...but now t..that its happening....Im scared" she says.

I feel a tear roll down my cheek and I wipe some tears from her face.

"Im so sorry" I say.

I look up and see Brian and James bringing Lilly and Gloria inside.

"T..Take this" she says.

I look at her hand and she holds a key on a necklace.

"G..greg gave it t..to me....he said it was t..the key to my heart...it always brought me g..good luck" she explains.

I grab it and look at it.

"Thank you" I say.

She smirks then winces and takes a deep breath.

Boom! Boom!

"Get inside, keep my family s..sa..." 

Mid sentence she winces then goes limp. I hold back tears then close her eyes and run inside.

"Wheres Crystal?" Glenn asks.

I shake my head and start walking upstairs.

"Janie!" I yell.

She sits on the steps and cries.

"Whats wrong?" I ask.

She looks up at me and sniffles.

"Everything" she replies.

I sit beside her and rub her back.

"You dont have to fight anym..." 

I get cut off by gunshots and screams. I jolt up and run downstairs.

"Nooooo!" Yells Rayna.

I stare at her standing by a body.

Mary....

I run over to them, Rayna is balling and trying to stop Marys bleeding.

"What happened?" I ask.

Rayna looks at me and shakes her head then continues wrapping the wound with a piece of cloth.

"I..g..got shot" says Mary.

My hands start shaking.

"I see that" I reply.

She smirks then winces and starts breathing heavily.

"Just stay calm Mary alright" I say.

She nods and then her breathing slows.

"JESSIE!" I yell.

I look around.

"JESS!" I yell.

Mary grabs my arm and I look down at her, she shakes her head.

"D..dont....I...I...want this" she says.

I shake my head and grab her hand.

"No you don't" I reply.

She nods.

"Thank y..you for the s..some wh..what of a life you g..gave me here" she says.

I take a deep breath then nod.

"Oh my gosh..Alli you got shot" Rayna says.

I sigh and nod.

"Im fine" I say.

Mary digs in her pocket and grabs a small piece of paper.

"Y..your si..sister wanted me to give y..you this" she says.

I grab it and look at the bloody paper.

"Janie?" I ask.

She shakes her head.

"A..Alisa" she says.

She takes one last deep breath then she goes limp.

"Nooo" yells Rayna.

I hug Rayna and try calming her down.

"Rayna its okay...Calm down....please"

She goes limp and continues to sob in my arms.

Victoria comes and helps Rayna upstairs.

I stare at Marys body.

"You alright?" Asks Daryl.

I slowly nod and stand up.

I look up at him.

"You sure?" He asks.

I nod.

"Im going to kill them" I growl.

He hugs me and breaths heavily.

"Maybe not now...but eventually we will" he replies.

My legs give out and I fall onto the ground and start crying.

"Alli..." says Glenn.

I lay on the ground with my face in my knees and sob all the emotion built up inside me finally burst out, I just couldnt handle it anymore.

Glenn kneels down beside me.

"Alli its okay" he says.

I slowly sit up and wipe my face.

He hugs me and I sob some more.

"Sissy" I hear a quiet voice say.

I look up and see Carl.

I clear my throat then get up and hug him.

"Lets get y..you back to the room" I say.

I walk him upstairs to our room and we sit down on the couch.

"Carl, watch a movie, eat some popcorn, take a nap....don't mind whats going on downstairs ok" I say.

He nods and I get up and walk into my room and sit on the bed. I take out the paper and slowly unfold the pages.

"To my dear older sister Allison,

I know that one day something will happen and I'll just be a memory, something that once was, something thats no longer there but brings down enough sadness for everyone. I know one day that will happen and I want you to know that its ok, most likely I was prepared for this...When this day comes...just know It's okay to need a hug, its okay to be afraid...but just know that......I love you Allison, you were always there for me when no one else was, you had whatever it would take to make me happy and I could never repay that, please excuse my debt and remember what ive told you in this.
