The Beginning of the End

Introduction

We walk into the woods and we meet up with Tyler,Rayna,Mary, and Keegan.

"Whos this?" Asks Tyler.

"Jessie and Brian" I say.

Tyler nods his head and glares at them.

Jessie leans toward me.

"Who are they?" She asks.

"Tyler, Mary , Rayna, and Keegan" I introduce them.

She shakes their hands then steps back.

"Well were going to look for my group, are you coming? Or staying?" I ask.

Tyler looks at the rest of his group.

"We'll come with" He says.

He notices my arm and walks toward me.

"What happened?" He asks with concern in his voice.

"Nothing, i'm okay" I explain.

He glares at me and nods.

"Alright get what you guys need, we'll be on the road" I say.

We walk to the road. Half way there I feel a pain travel through my entire body and I wince and lean on a tree.

"Are you alright?" Asks Tyler with much concern in his voice.

I nod and breathe heavily.

I take a deep breathe then start limping to the road. We get to the road and I sit down to wait for everyone else.

"What happened back there?" Brian asks.

"Nothing I...I just got alittle light headed....thats all" I say.

He kneels down by me and grabs my shoulders.

"I know you.. Well enough to know that your lying to me" He says deepening his voice.

I look down at the ground and sigh.

"My leg just...started hurting but I think I'm okay though" I explain.

He nods and pats my shoulder. 

"Just tell me if it happens again okay" He says.

"Alright...I will" I say.

He kisses my fourhead then stands up.

I sigh and dig in my backpack, I pull out a family photo from a long time ago.

"Your family?" Rayna asks.

I jump and look up at her.

"Oops.. sorry didn't mean to scare you" She giggles.

"It's fine, but yeah this is my family" I say.

"Who's all left?" She asks.

A tear rolls down my cheek and I look down at the picture.

" my sister Janie, my sister Lise, and my little brother" I say.

"Is that who were going to look for?" She asks.

I nod.

"Also everyone else in my group" I explain.

I sigh and a second tear glides down my cheek.

"May I ask what happened to everyone else?" Asks Rayna.

I look at her and nod.

"My mother died In a car accident when I was littler" I explain.

I wipe my face.

"My dad got ripped apart by zombies" I say.

Rayna sighs.

"And my sister also got ripped apart by zombies" I say with a hoarsed voice.

She pats my shoulder and sighs.

"I'm sorry" She says.

I grin fakely and nod.

"Thanks" I say.

"Alright we ready to go?" Tyler asks.

We all look around.

"Where's Mary?" Rayna asks.

I stand up and I feel light headed, I can't help but feel that something really bad is about to happen.

"I think she went back in the woods to get something" Keegan explains.

A gut wrenching scream comes from the woods and without hesitation I take out my machete and run into the woods as fast as I can. Everyone follows behind me. I jump over stumps, dodge sticks, duck under a couple fallen over trees and I get to their camp. Mary's not there....

"MARY?!?" I yell.

Tyler and Rayna are right behind me breathing heavily.

"MARY!" Yells Rayna.

Tyler looks around for any clues.

He stops in his tracks and looks down.

"Guys...." He says in a choked voice.

I slowly walk over to her and see a trail of fresh bright red blood leading further into the woods.
