I got into the truck with Bon and his brothers and we drove to Boot Barn. He had a signing this morning before it started tonight.
When we got there we were escorted inside with Brody and Bridger in front and behind us. "I'll be here for two hours." He told me. "I'll be shopping." I told him. "And this is me paying you for the snowboard and boots. Have fun." He said handing me his credit card.
"Thank you." I said before disappearing into the store. I was calculating how much he owed me from the snowboarding gear, $640.00 to spend. I went through and bought my jeans first.
It totaled up to $612.00. Then I found two button shirts for twelve each, adding to the total making it $637.00. My jeans were bagged and I was going to browse the last thirty minutes. Ok forget browsing I shopped. I bought several ladies pearl snaps and a pair of Ariats and Justin's.
When the thirty minutes was up Brody came and found me. We walked back to the front where Bonner was talking to the press. "Follow me out." He whispered in my ear.
I followed him out to the truck and I put my bags and boxes in the back. "So how much does my brother owe ya now?" He asked as I got in the passenger seat. "Only three dollars." I said then Bonner and Bridger came and got in. "How much I owe you now?" Bonner asked. "Three dollars." I said again.
"Card." I handed it to him and he handed me three dollars. Then I kissed his cheek. He looked at me smiling like he was partially wounded by my kiss. "Let's just go get dad." Bridger piped in from the back.
Bonner sighed and shook his head as he put the truck in gear. We drove back to the hotel to get Toya before going to eat.
I sat next to Toya as the brothers sat across from us. Then a person with a camera and notepad came in the restaurant. He spotted us and hurried over. My plan was to keep quiet about anything the man asked.
"Hello I'm with the American Cowboy and if I may is like to ask Bonner some questions to clear the air on a topic floating around." He said. Bonner looked at him then slid out of the booth to the one behind Brody and Bridger.
"They've been saying that your not single anymore. Meaning that your dating someone? Or you've been engaged to someone?" The reporter said. "I'm not dating anyone at the moment but it could be a possibility in the future." Bonner replied. "Not to get into your personal business but who is the girl with you this time?" The reporter asked.
"She's a friend of the family." Bon replied. "For how long?" "Since the both of us were in diapers." Bonner answered. Wow the things you have to say to reporters to get them off the topic.
We quietly talked and chuckled about how dumb the reporter was being not to notice the signs. After the reporter got all his answers he left. Bonner sat down across from me and continued to eat.
"Let's just hope they don't corner June into questioning the relationship." Toya said as he took a bite. "We can only hope that doesn't happen." Bonner said. When we were done we got into the truck and went to a one hour signing at the hotel.
I was going up to the room to lay out Bonner's clothes and get mine together. Everything he needed minus his underwear were in the bathroom. There was still forty minutes left so I hopped in the shower and cleaned up.
When I was done I put my undergarments and socks on then my jeans before realizing I forgot my shirt. "Crap." I poked my head out to see no one. I ran to my bag and got the shirt. As I slipped it on Bonner came in the room.
"Your clothes are in the bathroom hanging up all you need is your underwear." I told him. He went over to his bag and got his underwear then went to get his shower.
After thirty minutes he came out in just his jeans and socks. I pulled half my hair back in a clip and went out of the bedroom. Toya was watching tv and Brody and Bridger were no where to be found.
"June." I turned to face Toya. "Yes sir?" I said walking over to the couch. He got off the couch to face me. "Would you like to stay by me tonight while Bonner rides?" He asked. "I'd love to." "Well until he comes and gets you."
I didn't understand it at all. Then Bonner cleared his throat from behind me. I turned to face him. He had one hand tucked in his pocket and the other behind him.
Finally he started towards me keeping the one hand behind his back. His pearl snap had his sponsors' logos on it. Once he reached me he pulled the hand from behind his back.
There was a black box in it. "I wanted to give you this sooner but I knew someone would question it." He said taking my right hand. I kept my eyes on him until I felt something on my ring finger.
I looked down and on my finger was a sapphire and diamond heart ring. "It's a promise ring. I've been told that when putting it on you promise to wait on anything, so I promise to keep you safe and wait for the right time to express more than what's going on now." He said as I admired it.
The time said five ten and it started at 6:45. "The boys will be here I a few. They took a cab to go get a few things." Toya told us. "I'll be back in a second." I told them as I went back into the bedroom.
I found my September earrings that grandpa got me this year for my birthday and put them in. Then I got my crown necklace and put it on before grabbing a pair of my new boots.
