The One and Only

Chapter:14

I watched as Bonner got ready to ride. Toya and I were there with him as he was putting his gear on ten minutes before it started. "Yeah and if I fall flat on my a** I'll jump up and get a good distance away from the bull." He told his dad.

I stood there holding his Stetson as he zipped up the vest. "I know Bon but try not to get hurt in front of your girl here." Toya told him. I slipped my Stetson off and put his on. It was a little big but it fit.

"Now for my Stetson." Bonner said. I stood there with a smug grin with his Stetson on my head. He looked over at me with his hat on my head. Then I sauntered over to him.

He plucked it off my head and put it on his. I put mine back on as he walked out with me and Toya trailing. Toya had four gold buckle seats on the front row.

We sat down in the seats as it began. The first round went well then it was time for the second. Brody and Bridger were sitting on one side while Toya sat on the other.

Then it was time for round three for bull riding. I watched several make the eight seconds and others not until it was time for Bonner to ride. "Up next is Bonner Bolton on SweetPro's Bruiser." The announcer said.

I watched as Bon got onto the bull and was seated. Then I saw him nod his head with his black Stetson on. The bull bust out of the chute and bucked and tossed trying to shake Bonner. When the buzzer sounded he jumped off, his hat knocked off by the bull's feet.

"Least it wasn't his head." Brody said. "Yeah." Bridger agreed. Once the bull was out of the ring Bonner grabbed his hat and celebrated. He pointed at me then blew me a kiss.

"I think he'll tell the press after this whole thing that he's dating you." Toya said to me. I watched as he walked out of the arena and into the cowboy lounge. "Bonner Bolton, scored a 90.4 on Bruiser." The announcer said.

"I'm going to get something y'all want anything?" Bridger said as he left. I shook my head. "Bring me a water." Brody said. "Same here." Toya said. For the rest of the night we watched as the rest of the rounds played out.

When it was over we all got in the truck me by the window in the backseat next to Bonner. My eyes continued to droop. Then I felt myself shake slightly. "June. We're back at the hotel." He said. I looked up seeing we were the last out.

"Come on let's get to bed. We both have a busy day tomorrow." He said. I nodded and yawned. He helped me out of the truck and placed his arm around me as we walked into the lobby.

Once up to the suite he opened the door and I went straight for the bed. I kicked my boots off and got into my Bolton night tee. He's been teasing me about it but I've been shrugging it off. I started dozing when the bathroom door opened and the bed dipped. Soon as the lamp was out I was too.

I woke up before he did and got dressed. I carried my boots out of the room into the living area. I sat down and turned the tv on. PBR highlights was on so I watched it.

Last night was fun but I bet it would be more fun if I was competing in it. Then Toya came out of his room. "Morning June." He said before sitting next to me.

The ring was still on my finger. I looked at it as the tv went on about the rides last night. Then hot breath fanned my neck. I leaned back finding Bonner leaning on the back of the couch.

"Morning." I said. "Sleep well?" I added. He nodded then put his head on my shoulder. "How about you?" He asked. I nodded. Last night was the fifth night it was half over by now and Bonner was in fourth place.

"I've got a signing at eleven then another at one after that I can come and rest for four hours before I have to be at the T&M center for more autographing." Bonner told Toya.

I got up onto his lap and rested my head on his shoulder. The anchor on the show started talking about Bonner and how he's been acting. It even showed footage from us holding hands to him kissing my cheek. "And look at him on the first night of NFR." The person said.

Video played back to when he blew a kiss in the direction of where I was sitting. "Gonna have to say something Bonner or else the reporters and every one that watched this is going to get suspicious." Toya told Bonner.

"I know but when?" He asked his dad. "Tonight." Bonner nodded at his dad's answer. Then Brody and Bridger came into the room. Bonner pulled his phone out and checked the time. It was nine twenty. He set his phone down and focused on the tv again.

I picked up his phone and unlocked it, no password or code or even thumbprint. I went into his games and started playing one. Then I put his camera on. I took pictures of me and him sitting on the couch as he was watching tv.

I stuck my tongue out in one then in another I fakely licked his face before he realized I had his phone. As he turned his head I slipped it onto my hip. "Where's my phone?" He asked. "I don't know." I replied smirking.

He glared at me while I smiled at him. Then I jumped off the couch and ran through the small kitchen before I went out the door and down the hall. I went all the way around losing him before going back into the suite.

"Have you seen June?" Bonner asked someone. "No I haven't but I did see a girl enter your room." The male voice said. "That was June!" He said before trying to open the door. I ran into our room and went into the tub and ducked down.

"She in here?" I heard Bonner ask. "No clue bro." Then the bedroom door closed and locked. "June?" He called out. I got into his phone again and started playing another interesting game.

"June." Boots sounded into the bathroom. I stayed down low until I was picked up and thrown over a shoulder. "Should have given the phone." I giggled before he opened the bedroom door and carried me out to the living area.
