I ran back up the stairs and found Madeline asleep. I didn't want to wake her up after the day she's had so I gently picked her up and carried her. I looked for my car until i remember that i had walked here. I took out my phone and called a friend.
"Hello?"
"Hey can you come pick me up."
"Where are you?"
"Little peoples orphanage on 5th avenue."
"Ok... I'll be there in a few. But why are you there anyway?"
"I'll talk to you about it when you get here."
"You better Chris," she said as she hung up the phone.
The police showed up about five minutes later and of course there sirens woke up Madeline.
she opened her eyes and began to look around. I felt her starting to breathe heavy.
"Hey, it's alright your safe now. Shh go back to sleep."
She just looked at me and started to calm down at my words and slowly started to close her eyes again.
"Chris!" I heard someone yell which again startled Madeline.
I smiled sympathetically at her and set her down. We started to walk and then she stopped.
"Hey, it's fine you can come with me, no one's going to hurt to I promise," I said.
Tears begin to form in her eyes as she runs up to hug me. I hugged her back instantly.
"Thank you," she says just slightly above a whisper.
I take her hand and we walk over to the car. I open the back door and she slowly climds in and smiles at me. I climb in the passenger side and get the death glare from Scralett (Johnsson).
"What," I ask slightly scared.
"Who is that," she asks.
"Look I'll explain later just take me back to the hotel."
"Chris I'm not just going to take a little girl to a hotel without explanation."
"I adopted her. She needed to get away from there and I took her," I said.
"You do realize you are in the middle of a huge movie right now," she says the leans closer to me with her eyes still on the road, "Frankly you don't have time to raise a child or figure out how to raise one at that."
"Don't worry Scar, I have it under control," I say.
"I don't think you do," she mummbles.
"Heard that," I said.
She pulled up in front of the hotel.
"Get the heck out of my car, Evans."
"I'm going, but you realize you have to Go inside to right," I said jockingly.
She slaps my arm and I goofily smile at her and go to the back to get Madeline.
