Madeline's POV
I woke up to the sound of terrible singing and water running. Then I remembered about Chris, well I guess my father now. I looked around the room I was in, I was a smallish room with a queen size bed and grey walls. I pulled back the covers and stretched. I opened the door to the room and looked out to the house. It had an average staged living room and kitchen.
"Oh, your awake."
I screamed ran back into the room and locked the door.
"Madeline, hey, it's just me. I didn't mean to scar you," Chris said knocking on the door.
I took a sigh of relief and opened the door.
"Sorry," I said.
"Its fine."
"Your house is very nice."
"Thanks," Chris laughed, "But this is actually just a hotel room. My house is much nicer."
"Oh I'm so sorry I just asummed. asummed. I-I've just never been in a hotel before. I-I'm sorry."
"You've never been a hotel before?"
I felt my cheeks heat up as I shook my head.
"What else have you never done? If you don't mind me asking," he said leading me over to one of the couches.
"Umm I've never done a lot of things that kids do. I..I don't even know where to start," I confessed.
"I'm sorry," he said giving me a slittly awkward hug.
A phone started ringing and Chris pulled a phone out of his pocket.
"I've got to answer this I'll be right back," he said.
"Ok," I replied.
He smiled and walked into the little kitchen.
Chris's POV
"Hey Joe," I said.
"Come to set we are ready for you," he said.
"Can I bring someone with," I asked.
"Are they 18 or older?"
"No."
"Then they can be there while we film, its the law unless they are in the movie. Besides why do you have some one young the 18 with you?"
"I adopted a little girl today."
"Chris, you are in the middle of a movie. This is the worst possible time for you to adopted a child."
"I know but she needed me."
"Fine Chris bring her to set but she has to stay with Robert Downey's wife and kids while we record."
"Thank you so much Joe," I said then hung up.
I walked back into the little living area where Madeline hadn't moved from her place on the couch.
"Madeline, come on I've got to go to work," I said.
"Why am I coming," she asked a little taken back.
"Because I want to take you. Come it will be fun I promise," I said wit a smile.
"Ok," She smiled back.
I took her hand and we heard for the car.
