It was the day of the party and I have been at home all day trying to find something to wear since noon. My room was a mess and I couldn't find a single thing to wear, I screamed and sat in the pile of my clothes.

"Katie, what's wrong?" My dad panicked as he rushed into my room. I looked over at him and gave him my puppy dog face.

"I have nothing to wear!" I groaned slamming my fist down onto my clothes and my dad sighed.

"You're killing me Katie, you've got a big ass pile of clothes right there." He explained pointing at all of them thrown onto my floor.

"Yeah, old clothes." I groaned rolling my eyes. My dad just shook his head and walked away not sure how to deal with my big (yet slight) dilemma.

I went through my clothes again and again trying to mix and match different outfits and still nothing. I finally just gave up and picked out a pair of ripped jeans, and a black tank top to wear. I went to the bathroom to straighten my hair, apply makeup and brush my teeth. I don't know what I am so nervous about, maybe it's the fact that the whole school will see me with Calum and judge me?

"Katie!" I heard someone yell my name, it was my dads voice I recognized and groaned.

"Dad I'm dealing with a crisis right now." I yelled back down the stairs from my room.

"Is it one of those women crisis?" He asked and I mentally face palmed myself.

"No dad." I groaned.

"Well Calum is here, I thought I'd let you know." He said, my mouth dropped. My dad said all of that while Calum was in the house?!

"Hey, hey sweet thang." Calum said as he entered my room with a big grin on his face.

"I'm sorry you had to hear the conversation between my dad and I." I said with a groan.

"Katie," he laughed, "I have a sister." He said shaking his head.

"I'm so out of it today." I said running my fingers through my hair.

"It's okay." He laughed giving me a kiss on the cheek. "Are you ready to go?" He asked and I nodded as he grabbed my hand and lead me downstairs.

"Have fun, be safe!" My dad yelled as we left the house in a flash since Calum was dragging me towards his car. He must be excited.

We got into the car as he started it up and drove off to Carly's house for her big party she was throwing. We arrived fifteen minutes later and there was a line to get into the house, ropes were placed to keep everyone in a single line and there were bodyguards at the front door, one had a clipboard and checked off whoever gave him an invitation. You could hear the bass of the music from outside and you could see neon lights flashing from in the house to outside.

"Woah." I gaped as I turned to Calum who just smiled at me. We walked into the line and got to the door quicker than I thought.

"Name." The buff bodyguard asked.

"Katie." I said, he searched for my name and shook his head.

"Not on the list," he said in a deep voice and then took my invitation and ripped it right in front of me. "Next." He said and I was confused, my invitation was right in my hand and then he ripped it. I was so mad and Calum looked at them like they were crazy.

"Try Calum Hood plus guest." Calum said to the guard, he looked and nodded his head letting us both go through. I was relieved that Calum could get me into the party or I would've been outside the whole time.

Once we got in you could see everyone was dancing, had red solo cups in hand and were just having a good time. Calum grabbed my hand and took me towards the dance floor, I felt awkward because I didn't know how to dance to save my life.

"Just move your hips to the beat." He said with a smile, I tried but I guess I looked like a dork since he laughed. He stood behind me with his hands on my waist and guided my hips towards the beat. It felt pretty good to dance and be free like I was, I felt like a pro dancer right now but I wasn't going to exactly show off.

Calum stopped dancing for a second and went towards the drinks, I wasn't sure if it was alcohol or not but I was looking around and it seemed that the only thing here was alcohol or water. I hadn't seen Calum for at least twenty minutes and began to worry where he was. I began to look around when a hand grabbed my waist and spun me around.

"Damn you're hot!" A guy with curly hair and hazel eyes said to me which frightened me.

"Get off of me." I snapped smacking his hand. He got a little aggressive after that and grabbed my wrist causing me to wince. "That hurts let go!" I yelled at him over the loud music playing.

"Where are you going, we're gonna have some fun." He said and I groaned stepping on his foot causing him to swear under the moon and let go of me. I saw this as my chance to run and find Calum as I began to call out his name while the unknown guy chased after me. He caught up to me and grabbed my arm yanking me towards him.

"Hey!" I heard a voice say before I saw the curly headed guy who grabbed me on the ground with a bloody mouth.

He groaned and sat up, "Calum?" He said squinting his eyes.

"Ashton don't ever touch her again." Calum threatened as he grabbed my hand walking us away from the scene he made.

"Calum." I said giving him a hug feeling relieved he was here.

"Did he hurt you?" He asked as he began to check every inch of my body, "What the hell were you thinking going near him, damnit you have to be careful!" Calum yelled grabbing my face quickly which caused me to jump.

"I didn't- he came up to me-" I stuttered and he cut me off.

"I don't care, be careful!" He snapped at me before he began to walk away and I grabbed his arm.

"Calum," I said he turned around and I saw his eyes were red, "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing."

"Are you high and drunk?" I asked angrily.

"Katie I don't have time for this right now." He said starting to walk away from me again.

"Calum Hood!" I snapped which caused him to stop.

He walked back towards me and was super close to me face, "Get the hell out of here Katie." He said harshly.

"What?"

"Get the fuck out of my face!" He snapped, I smacked him across the face and he stepped back as he looked at me and my teary eyes. "Katie-"

"Don't touch me, don't come near me!" I yelled pushing on his chest, "Leave me alone." I snapped as I ran out of the house and started my long walk home.
