"Els! Wake up!" A voice woke me up from my deep sleep. Before I could open my eyes, the person jumped on my bed.
"Theodosia what are you doing here?" I groaned and hid my face in the pillow.
"I want to come with you to start on your dress!" She beamed. She grabbed my hand and pulled me off of the bed.
"Ugh okay Theodosia. I'll be right out." I said while making the bed.
"Okay! Hey we should have a sleepover tonight!" Theodosia said as she skipped out of my room. She was in a fantastic mood today.
"Yes we totally should!" I replied smiling. I walked over to my wardrobe and out on my work dress because I was going to be working on a dress and possibly playing with the children. I quickly brushed my hair then went out to meet Theodosia who was sitting at the table with my fathers eating a cinnamon roll. I sat next to Theodosia and helped myself to breakfast. My fathers agreed on our sleepover for tonight and both Theodosia and I were very excited. I had so much to tell her. We finished breakfast then I kissed my parents on the head and we were out the door. We walked to the orphanage and I tapped lightly on the door.
"I'll get it!" A voice I immediately recognized as Evelyn rang as she opened the door. "Elsie Mae!" She jumped into my arms and giggled. The children as usual all came and hugged me. Tommy smiled widely as he ran and hugged me.
"Alright children, that's enough. Elsie come with me." She said. I waved to the children and told them I would play with them later. Miss Eliza and I turned and began walking up the stairs to start making my new dress and I couldn't have been more excited.
