Mark was never the type of person to believe in love at first sight. It just doesn't seem logical to him. Sure, he would see a pretty person once in a while, or someone that was eye catching, but he never believed that he would fall for someone hard when first meeting them, much less seeing them from a distance. However, no one is always correct.
He was making a quick purchase at the supermarket, simply making a quick errand for his family members. He was about to cross the street into the parking lot as he looked around on both sides of the streets to see if it was safe to cross. That's when something caught his eye. It was a girl, sitting on a park bench, all alone in the cold. He wasn't exactly sure why, but guilt hit his soul softly, almost as if it was going to eat him up. He did something that he never for anyone: he went up to her, a total stranger.
"I'm sorry to bother you, but I couldn't help back there but think that you needed some help," he mumbled. Then, she looked up to him. They locked eyes, and Mark though something that he never thought he would say: she's pretty, no, she's beautiful.
Aside from her reddened nose and blueish lips, he eyes contradicted it with a warm chocolate brown. Despite her butt freezing in the cold, she let out a warm laugh.
"Oh no, I'm just a little lost, and it seems like nobody came to find me." Mark couldn't help but smile at her optimistic attitude. "If you'd like, I could possibly help you find your way back to where you belong," he offered. He wasn't exactly sure as to why he was offering her his help. Maybe it was about time he actually pay a good deed to society.
Her eyes lit up, "That would be really great. Oh my gosh, thank you so much!" She pulled him into a hug. Mark was too much in shock to really react. "Oh, I'm sorry," she apologized, "I'm an American, and we like to give skin ship to strangers." Mark laughed.
"So you speak English?" he spoke in his native tongue. He sighed in relief as she spoke. "Yea, definitely. Korean is so difficult. I didn't know how long I could keep this up. I'm pretty limited with Korean." Mark nodded and looked away from the girl for the first time when talking to her. He realized that that they were still standing in the busy area of the supermarket.
"We should probably go and get you back to where you need to be." She nodded and followed him quietly. They got into the car. Honestly, Mark wasn't the type to be able to ever have a full on conversation with a complete stranger. As they made their way to the car, Mark tried to think of all the things he could possibly say to her now and later in the car.
"By the way, I forgot to ask. What's your name?" he asked and turned to her only to find her sleeping ever so peacefully. He smiled to know that a petite angel was sleeping next to him and now he had an excuse to not speak to anyone.
Soon enough, Mark pulled into the driveway of his parents' house. He was about to get out of the car, he looked over to the girl in the passenger side. She woke up with a smile and said in a groggy voice, "Are we there yet?" I nodded, smiling. She returned the smile and got out of the car with me.
"I'll help with the groceries!" she squealed. He let out a small chuckle as he handed her a few lighter bags. After setting the bags in the kitchen, Mark got out his phone.
"Do you know the numbers of anyone you know?" he asked. She stood there thinking in heavy concentration. Alas, she shook her head. She, then, pulled out her phone and explained that all the numbers were in her phone, but it was out of battery. With a stroke of luck, it was the exact same model as Mark's phone, so he jogged to his room and grabbed the charger. He returned to her and took her phone, charged it. She thanked him with joy and happiness as she turned on her phone and made a call to one of her close friends to come pick her up.
As the phone call ended, she smiled and repeatedly showered him with her "thank you's" and gratitude out to him. He couldn't help but smile as his heart skipped a small beat, beating rapidly.
"I forgot that you stayed in the cold for God knows how long! Let make you something to drink!" Mark exclaimed. The girl quickly accepted it. Mark walked into the kitchen making two cups of cocoa carefully bringing it over to her.
She thanked him, blowing it carefully and drinking the treat wholeheartedly. He watched her before drinking some for himself. Then on, they just created a small talk.
Mark found out things about her like how she was Vietnamese American, and she loved to read and write. They found out something that they both had in common: they were casted in JYP.
They were in the middle of an argument of which was better: McDonald's or Korean Fried Chicken when the doorbell rang. Mark got up to see who it was. He opened the door to see a girl that couldn't be younger than 20.
"Lyn!" the girl by Mark's side ran to the girl at the front door and hugged the living daylights out of her. He smiled at the precious moment the two were having. Something inside of Mark made him sad that they most likely wouldn't get to see each other that much.
"I'm truly sorry if she was any a burden to you at all," Lyn bowed and apologized. Mark let out a small chuckle, "Don't worry, she was fine." Lyn thanked the older boy once again before leaving with the girl, ready to give a long lecture to girl about keeping up with the group.
"Wait!" Mark called out, "I didn't get get your name!" She turned to Mark indicating for him to repeat what he just said. Unfortunately, someone pulled her into the van, and the vehicle pulled out of the driveway and zipped down the road. He watched it sadly as it drove out of her sight.

The music was blasting in my ears as Mark tried to move his body to the beat. Being in the music industry drilled Mark into doing every single move to the most precise. It sharpened his senses in hearing and fast reaction. Every move had to be shown perfectly. Not too strong, not too weak, just right. As the song ended, he collapsed on the floor along with my team members, attempting to recollect air. The door opened and Mark's eyes were drawn an oddly familiar girl. It was the girl from the supermarket! He wasn't sure as to what got into him, but he ran and lifted her into his arms, spinning her around. She laughed, hugging him back. Finally, Mark let her down and realized that his band members were still surrounding the two of them, gawking at his sudden actions despite how tired he was just a few seconds. Mark flushed in a shade of red as he apologized and took her outside.
He looked at her, smiling and hugged her once again. He was still confused with myself. He was Mark Tuan. He's supposed to be quiet, not very spontaneous. He keeps himself contained and formal. He was truly confused with himself. He doesn't make much eye contact with people he just met, much less hug them. He doesn't invite strangers into his own house. For some reason, she made it different. Ever since that day she left his sight, he couldn't His hands would feel sweaty. He could only think about her face. It was just so breathtaking.
He felt his heart skip a beat, "So you really got accepted." She smiled and laughed, "I see you did also. I love your beanie by the way." Mark let out a laugh as he took it off and placed it carefully on her head, "Well you can have it now. You can have that piece of me wherever you."
She giggled, "Do you do this to every girl you meet?"
He shook his head, "Once you get to know me, I'm a person who doesn't like to play. I just don't have social skills." She arched her eyebrow, "What going to make me believe you?"
"Ask everyone I know. Just give me a chance. I wanna show you that I'm the guy who you can trust, please," he begged.
She smiled, "I like you, whoever you are." He let out a small laugh, "I like you a lot too. The name's Mark."
She held out her hand, expecting a handshake, "Kyuri." Kyuri couldn't help but laugh when Mark took her hand and kissed it softly.
"It's a pleasure to finally find out your name." he whispered. Then, he looked up to her, "Are you busy tonight?" Kyuri shook her head. He smiled, "Meet me here at 8pm. Don't miss it." Mark commanded.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." She laughed. Maybe not having Mark's old habits brought him something new and special.
