Deep down in Demon World, atop the highest of the ancient mountains, there stood a mighty, walled-in fortress, several kilometers across. In the area surrounding this impressive structure, was a flourishing garden, laden with several stone walkways with majestic rows of plant life on either side.

This garden was the pride and joy of Lord Ogoba, the master of this temple. He had grown every one of these exotic Makai plants with the less-than-ideal mountain soil. Each and every day, he went out on a stroll of the premises, admiring his own work. "Yes... This truly a garden for a king..." he breathed in heavily, taking in the scent of his garden's several varieties of fragrances. "...Although, I would allow others to share in it, if only they were to ask..." Ogoba grinned, noticing the several intruders crouching within the foliage, dressed in camouflage, hoping to be able to sneak up on the plant master. Despite their exposure, the bandits kept themselves concealed within the foliage.

"Come on out now, you've all been found out!" Ogoba stated, wanting to draw out the invaders and put them away as quickly as possible. Even still, the demons continue to lie in wait, not exposing themselves to the Demon Lord just yet, frustrating Ogoba even further. "Come off it already you fools! You've been snuffed out! Come and face me like true men!"

Just as Ogoba finished insulting the intruders, one leapt from the outside wall, falling towards the Demon Lord, a curved sword drawn and ready to strike. "That's more like it..." Ogoba uttered as the demon assassins came cascading upon him all at once, surrounding him, closing in with their weapons drawn.

It took the demon lord less than five seconds to dispatch them all.

Standing in the middle of the piled bodies of the dozen demons, Ogoba raised a blood-soaked index finger to his right ear, turning on the communication channel to his palace security. "Sinnel... I've already taken care of your intruders. Their speed was impressive, but I found their lack of strength to be a bit of an insult to my power..."

"Sorry to disappoint you sir. Perhaps I can contact in a more serious challenge for you?" a heavily accented voice spoke through the channel into Ogoba's earpiece.

"What do you have in mind?" Ogoba asked, using his free hand to stroke one of the short horns protruding through the top of his cranium.

"Lord Mukuro contacted me this morning to inform you that she is sending an ambassador to our stronghold to negotiate a pact of non-aggression..." Sinnel's french-accented voice relayed into Ogoba's ear.

Mukuro? Trying to set up a pact of non-aggression? So what? She can save herself? She has no more nation to speak of. She most likely wants to seek her own personal security for when we launch our attack on King Enki. But if that's the case, why doesn't she just allign herself with the king? I have no soldiers who are relatively close to her level of power, and as it stands now, I'm only about as strong as Enki, if even that... Her best bet for survival would be an alliance with the King... Unless those aren't her true intentions... Ogoba pondered silently for a few moments, thinking over every possibility.

"Sinnel?" Ogoba spoke up after his long silence, making sure that his demon head of security was still listening.

"Yes my lord?"

"Did Mukuro say who she would be sending as an ambassador?" Ogoba asked hopefully, his suspicions riding on this answer from Sinnel.

"... Yes, she did. She told me to expect Hiei Jaganashi within the hour..." Sinnel replied.
