The woman concealed beneath her silk white robes was fast and fleet-footed. She needed to be in order to flee from her pursuers all the way to the border...
This particular woman was from the lands formerly belonging to the Demon Lord Yomi, as were the small hunting party of demons giving chase after her. She had been running for over an hour now, accused of taking advantage of Yomi's absence by invading his palace and stealing a small handful of his riches. Those who still recognized Yomi as their leader naturally did not take kindly to this, and immediately began giving chase, shouting death threats at her, waving their weapons about in a threatening manner, even going so far as to summon the Jokin; gigantic creatures identical to rats in appearance, but more resembled an average human's size and stature. These hunters were using the Jokin just as human hunters use dogs when pursuing prey. They utilized their excellent sense of smell to their advantage, preventing the woman from losing them as they kept up the chase throughout the day.
Now though, things were about to become quite a bit harder for the pursuing hunters and the woman alike, for they were approaching the border separating what was officially Demon World from the land of Lord Ogobah, who seceded from the rest of the nation in order to counteract King Enki's radical ideas regarding human consumption.
And now, a mere seventy four hours away from marching upon the human world, Ogobah's demon army was restless, especially those on border patrol duty. Soon enough, they would be able to abandon their boring posts in order to aid in conquering Human World. All seemed to share the same feeling of eagerness except for demon Captain Darts, who held his typical, passive-aggressive stare throughout all the celebrations praising Lord Ogobah and his colleges infectious excitement. He didn't seem to care either way, about anything.
Internally however, he had an incredible, undeniable drive to face an opponent worthy of his caliber. Darts has been an S class apparition a vast majority of his life. In Demon World, where strength is everything, he is highly revered and deeply respected by his fellow demons. In fact, there were only two known demons throughout Ogobah's Kingdom who were considered to be on equal or higher footing than Darts. The first was Lord Ogobah himself, who was considered to be on the same level of power as demons such as Mukuro and Yomi; all three of which were considered a cut far above the typical S-Class apparition, which meant that challenging Ogobah to a duel would most certainly result in Darts' death, which only left Ogobah's right hand man, Sinnel.
Many of the demons throughout Ogobah's vast kingdom have long pondered as to who would triumph if the two seemingly equal fighters were to engage one another in single combat. In truth, Darts desired nothing more than to fight Sinnel himself, to test his capabilities as a fighter. However, he knew that Lord Ogobah would never tolerate such actions, so he kept this burning desire to himself, hidden behind his stone wall-like persona. There was no more dedicated and loyal soldier within Ogobah's ranks than Darts, and unfortunately for the woman and her pursuers from Yomi's territory, he was on duty that day, and did not tolerate intruders in the least bit.
"Captain Darts sir?" the small radio the border patrol captain's belt blared to life with the voice of one of his officers "We have intruders rapidly approaching the border from Enki's territories with no sign of turning back anytime soon. Shall we engage?"
"No, stand down..." Darts spoke into his small radio with his respect-commanding, booming voice. "I'll head to your location and deal with them myself."
"Sir?!?" the voice questioned his commander, surprised that he would personally involve himself with a small invasion party that he or his other men would be able deal with easily.
