Maddie's POV
Diggie went to go get something to eat then the doctor came in. Maddie I have some bad news. He says with a frown, what is it? I ask worriedly, it looks like you'll have to give up basketball for good, I'm very sorry. He says, tears start to form. Why do I have to give it up? I ask, the prescription that I prescribed it could affect your playing and could cause even more harm to you, but on the bright side you can leave tomorrow. Then he leaves, I'm just shocked about what I was just told, basketball means everything to me and now that it's gone... Just then Diggie walks in all happy, I can't tell him my bad news cause then he'll always be feeling sorry for me and I don't want that. End of POV
Diggie's POV
I come back from getting something to eat and I see the doctor come out of her room. Hey why was the doctor in here? I ask, he was just checking up on me and gave me some medication. She replied. The next day I signed her release forms and I brought her home. All of Maddie's friends/ basketball team, Holden and I stayed at their place for supper. All of a sudden Maddie stands up. End of POV

Everyone decided to talk about baseball and I couldn't hold it in anymore, so I stood up. Can I have everyone's attention? I ask then everyone looks up at me. Oh my gosh this is going to be really hard. I have an announcement to make, what is it? Asks Parker, tears start to form, I can't play basketball anymore. The looks on everyone's faces were just shocked so I ran outside and sat on the porch swing. End of POV
