Chapter 5: Family Reunion, and Party (Revised)

The two women stepped into the clinic, and immediately burst out laughing at the sight of the high dog trying to take a drink. "Titan, are you awake?" A lazy bark. "Good god." Pamela was on the floor laughing, with Titan now trying to get to his owner. "I feel sorry for you. I really do." Kirenia managed to scoop him up, and place him in the back of her hummer. "Follow me." Kirenia got in, started her hummer, and began the trip to the motel, keeping an eye on her rear view mirror, making sure she could still see Pamela's car. After two hours of driving, the old motel came into view. Kirenia carefully pulled into the parking lot, and waited for Pamela to pull up, watching as the woman stepped out, with her mascara running, tearing up at the very thought of getting to see her son again. "Just stay close to me." Pamela nodded and took Kirenia's hand, following the girl inside. "The infirmary is just downstairs, I don't know who all is down there, so just do as I say." Pamela nodded once more, and squeezed Kirenia's hand lightly, reassuring the girl that she would be fine. Kirenia cautiously took a step forward, and began to lead Pamela down, hearing what sounded like dogs whimpering. The door came into sight, and Michael stepped out, quickly spotting Kirenia and her guest. "Come on. Just be careful, he threw up earlier, and now he's getting a blood transfusion." The girls nodded, and stepped into the room, with Pamela nearly fainting at the sight. "Is that really my precious boy?" "Yep. A day or two ago my dad injected him with a sedative of some sort, and he got really sick." Kirenia then noticed both of Jason's dogs on the other side of the bed, whimpering loudly. "They wouldn't stop crying, so I had Carrie bring them here, they calmed down a little." 'Thanks Michael. Pamela, I think it's time for you to work your magic. I can still feel the strong bond you both held. It's weakened, but still there. I think if we can reignite the bond, we could spark enough emotion for me to draw from, then I could possibly use a healing spell to try and cure his ailment." "Can you still do that dear?" "I know it's been a while, but I know I can. I've done it many times, that wasn't a one time thing." "He starting to wake up again." Michael got close to Jason, and started to help him sit up, handing the man some water, everyone hearing Jason wheeze loudly as he sat up. "I hope you don't mind. But Kirenia bumped into someone today, and we decided to have her come and see you." Jason cocked his head to the side, and spotted his Mother's sweater, making his eyes go wide. Even though she was blurry, he could still tell it was her, there was no doubt. "Jason, my precious boy." Pamela was next to him in moments, enveloping him in a hug, with Jason instantly hugging back. Kirenia could feel the emotion sparking and the bond being rekindled, adding to her power, Kirenia then whispered two little words. "Heal Pulse." A small white butterfly appeared from over Kirenia's heart, flew over to Jason, landed on his heart, and disappeared in a small poof, Jason quickly looking up Kirenia, who had a small smile on her face. "It's the least I can do, you deserve this more than anything. I've seen most of the shit you've had to go through in the past fifteen years, and you deserved none of it, I figured this would help take away some of the pain." Kirenia was crying now, she quickly wiped away the tears, and smiled again. "Look at me. Crying like some weak sap, but I can't be blamed, this moment is far to beautiful. I should get going, Titan might be starting to sober up now, and I don't think he'll be very happy with me, plus I need to prepare for tomorrow." Kirenia swiftly left the room, hearing a small quiet "thanks" as she left, but she wasn't able to get up the stairs, before both Carrie and Kayako stopped her. "Kirenia do you have any idea what time it is?" "No. What time is it?" It's 9 o'clock, and the others will start to arrive at noon, you need to get home, and get ready! Pinkamina just called us and said the cake is almost ready, and told us to tell you that she'll be there an hour early so she can put the cake in your freezer, and get Gummy's bed set up. We'll come with you in your car." "Ok." Kirenia went with the girls to her hummer, and helped them get their bags in, along with their dogs, having some problems with Kayako's Chinese Crested Phantom, the little dog trying to bite his way out of his carrier. "No, bad Phantom. That's the only carrier Ghostface has." Carrie leaned forward in her seat, and started giving Kirenia directions. "There's a road portal just next to where you parked, take that, and we should end up at your house." The Smile HD song started to play on Carrie's phone, and she quickly answered. "Hey Pinkamina. No we're on our way. We're using a road portal. Um, I'll ask. Hey Kayako, what flavor for Phantom's teats?" "Peanut Butter." "She said peanut butter. Ok I'll see you there. That was her, the cake is done, and Gummy is ready to go. She's on her way right now." Kirenia nodded, and parked her hummer, helping everyone out, before getting inside, and starting to move her furniture, needing space for the tent they were going to put up in Kirenia's living room. "Girls put the tent up will you. I think Pinkie just pulled up, it's her alright." Kirenia ran outside, and helped the Pasta out of her van. "Sorry I'm late. Gummy ran off with one of my horseshoes, and I had a hard time getting the oven to work." "You're not late. You're early actually. Carrie and Kayako are setting up the tent, just like we do every year. " "Great! And tonight, I'm going to be telling Candymare." "Candymare?" "It's a doozy, I scared your cousin with it." "Jack is scared of a lot of things. Remember when we watched Cupcakes. He would go anywhere near you for a month, and was using BEN's sword to keep you at bay. He didn't even make any candy, nothing like the Laughing Jack I know." Pinkie nodded, and pulled something out of her saddle bag, handing it to Kirenia, the object turning out to be a small box. "Your cousin asked me to give this to you. Didn't say why, just asked then ran off." "That's my cousin for you. He's almost as crazy as me. We may fight over the fact that he kills children, but we still love each other." Kayako poked her head out the front door, and gave a big thumbs up, indicating that the tent was up. The two girl headed in, and saw that the tent was indeed put up, and all four of the dogs were running around having fun. Carrie's chihuahua leading the charge, with their owner quickly noticing that they were getting a bit too playful, and called out to them. "Pie, Lady. You need to settle down." The small dogs listened, and trotted away from the others, going over and laying down in Carrie's lap. "I wish Gummy listened to me like that." Pinkie stated as she pulled out some treats from her saddle bags. "But that doesn't matter right now. We're here for Kirenia, she's turning 21 finally!" Pinkie pulled out a cake from her other saddle bag, and set it on the counter. She then jumped up on the kitchen table, and got on her back legs. "NOW IT'S TIME TO PARTY!!" A knife suddenly fell from Pinkie's bags, and she whipped around. "I wondered where that went." All of the girls broke out laughing. (timeskip of three hours) Everyone had had treats, soda, cake, and much more. They were now huddled in the tent, Pinkie had her laptop out, and was reading Something Sweet To Bite. "Trick or Treat?" Kirenia, Carrie, and Kayako were thoroughly disgusted. "She basically turned AppleJack into a Caramel Apple." "Apple Bloom too." Carrie and Kayako then heard what sounded like vomiting, and poked their heads out, discovering that Kirenia was throwing up in her kitchen trash can. Pinkie then poked her head out, taking note of Kirenia. "I guess it was a bit gory. Plus she did have more junk than us." Carrie then piped up. "I think we should get her something for the vomit." Kirenia raised her head from the can. "Don't. I'm done. Don't ever tell that story again." Kirenia rinsed her mouth out, and returned to the tent, Titan following her. "Let's get to bed." The other's agreed, pulled their respective pets close, falling asleep almost instantly, unaware of the massive prank that Kirenia had planned.
