Chapter 10: Girlfriend (Revised)

In the morning, Kirenia gave Smile another bath, and changed his bandages, after which she noticed that Iblis had had a growth spurt. He'd gone from being the size of a full grown Corgi, to the size of a Beagle. "You're growing up so fast." Iblis screeched, then begged to be held. Kirenia barely managed to get him off the ground, so she opted to just carry him on her shoulders, and Iblis was perfectly fine with it. Jason rolled up at around nine, and Kirenia was more than happy to see him. "Come on in. Hope you don't mind a mess. I was getting ready to record." To make a long story short, Jason had to leave quickly because of a text he got. Kirenia cranked up the AC, pulled out a shit load of snacks and drinks, made her wings and tail disappear, sat on her couch, put the comforter over herself, put on one of her many wireless headsets, and began speaking into the mic. "Hey everyone, and welcome back to Alien: Isolation. Today we're still following Axel, and hopefully we'll find out just what the hell is going on, but we can all tell by the name of the game, Xenomorphs are attacking. Cut scene, I'll shut up." Kirenia watched the cut scene quietly, Iblis deciding to come and huddle up under the blanket with Kirenia, nudging his way into her lap, instantly getting pet. Kirenia screamed loudly when Axel was stabbed, which made Iblis screech. Kirenia paused the game when the cut scene ended, and Kirenia rushed to calm her pounding heart. There was a sudden knock on the door, and Kirenia could tell without even looking at her laptop that her mic had picked up the knock, so following her channel rules, Kirenia grabbed a spare camera, and took it with her to the door, noticing that Cali was scratching at the door. Kirenia opened it, and revealed Tex, making her heart sing with joy. Tex suddenly got down on one knee, and pulled something from his pocket, revealing an opal sitting on what looked like fine purple silk. "Tex is that a Sold Black Gem Opal from Lightning Ridge? How did you get that? Those cost a fortune!" "Love will find a way. And there's somethin' I need to ask ya'. Kirenia Ayako Serin Lanosa Meamora Cadensa Krueger, will you be my girlfriend? I know it's a bit sudden, but I can't deny that I want to be with you." Kirenia put the camera on the porch railing, and started to cry. "How did you know what to do?" "I talked to yer pa. An he told me. So what do ya say?" "YES!" Kirenia leapt into Tex's arms, and continued to cry. "Only one other person has done something like this for me, but they stole the gem, they didn't get it by honest means." Titan ran out, having heard Kirenia scream, and her crying, but stopped in his tracks, whining happily, and going over to Tex, giving his big slobbery licks on the face of approval. "I think Titan is ok with it." There was a sudden uprise of hooting and hollering, and Tex turned beet red. "He wouldn't let me come, unless he came too." Tinker suddenly popped his head up over the fence, yelling at his brother. "Ya did it little man! Ya got er!" Kirenia looked to Tex, tilting her head. "Little man?" "I'm not tellin'." Kirenia giggled and ruffled Tex's hair. "Y'all should get goin'. Ma and Pa might be wonderin where ya are. Tell em I got a brand new girl girlfriend." Tinker nodded, before getting in what she assumed was the Sawyer Family pickup, and drove off. "I realized that I loved you yesterday after I left." "I had the same thing happen to me." Cali trotted out, and proceeded to nuzzle Tex, purring loudly. Tex freed and arm, and pet Cali, making the kitten purr even louder. "Let's go inside." Kirenia got off of Tex, and helped him up, Cali instantly starting to climb Tex's leg the moment he stood, to which she was plucked off by the owner of the leg. "I find it funny that's she's my cat, yet she's attracted to you." Cali continued to purr, even batting at Tex's hat, making the man smile and tickle the kitten's belly, both unaware that someone from her father's past was watching the two, focusing on Kirenia.
