Chapter 9: The Numbers Spell Something (Revised)

(In Springwood)

After dropping the stuff off at Kirenia's house, Tex had realized that he liked Kirenia, and wanted to be more than friends, so he drove straight to Springwood, and went to her Father's house, planning of asking for ways to impress her, and hopefully win her heart, already knowing about the competition. Tex walked up the front steps, took of his hat, and knocked on the door, Luna answering the door almost instantly. "Oh Tex, I wasn't expecting you. What can i help you with?" "I was wonderin' if yer husband was home. I would like to talk ta' him about yer daughter." The moment 'daughter' left Tex's mouth, Freddy was at the door in an instant. "What about Kirenia?" "Mr. Krueger, I was wonderin' if you would possibly let me dater er', or at least tell me how ta' win her over." Freddy seemed to think it over for a moment, before sighing loudly. "I'll be honest. I'm ok with you dating her, but you do have some tough competition, so if you really want to win her heart. Find the biggest most beautiful gemstone you can, and polish it into the drop cut, present it to her on a layer of fine silk, and cup it in both your hands while your down on one knee, and ask her for her heart. It's almost guaranteed that she'll say yes. That's how that loser asked her, and she leapt into his arms. Just don't break her heart, or else." Tex nodded, and quickly returned to his car, heading for a road portal to Texas where he would head by a store he knew of, and buy Kirenia a gemstone.

Kirenia's phone buzzed, and when she checked it, she discovered a text from her Father, telling her about her suitors, and that he was going to tell them how to ask for her heart. Kirenia responded telling her she was fine with that, and would expect visitors. Kirenia returned to making dinner, with Iblis being a brat and begging her for some of the soup she was making. "No Iblis. This has stuff that's very bad for you in it." Iblis seemed to understand, and trotted off to the living room, sitting on the window seal he was on when Kirenia got home. "Don't pout, that doesn't work on me." Kirenia sat down at her dining room table and started to eat, having to constantly push a pet away, Iblis being the only one who behaved. Kirenia managed to finish her meal, and returned her dishes to the kitchen, cleaning them, and putting them in the dishwasher. Kirenia then went into the fridge, and pulled a hotdog, calling to Iblis. "Iblis, come here. I have something for you." Iblis trotted in, and went nuts at the sight of the treat in Kirenia's hand. "Up on the counter." Kirenia laid the hotdog on the counter, and Iblis jumped up, taking the treat in between his paws, and opened his mouth wide, extending his second mouth, and took a bite out of the hotdog. "I have never seen a Xeno eat like that before." Iblis just looked at her, flicked his tail, then went back to eating, a nudge on Kirenia's leg had her looking down, seeing Titan, and out of the corner of her eye, she spotted what looked like a very pissed off Smile Dog on her back porch. "Let me in! Please." Kirenia jogged over to the door, and opened it up, Smile limping in. "Smile what happened?!" "It's Jeff's stupid cat! He beat me up, then when I went to defend myself, he pretended I seriously hurt him, and Jeff threw me out. Not giving a single fuck about my injuries." "I'll call him." Kirenia whipped out her phone, and dialed Jeff's number, hearing it ring twice, before there was an answer. "Hello?" "Jeffery are you aware that your cat beat up Smile. And don't accuse Smile of hurting Grinny, because Smile hadn't even touched him before he was kicked out of the house. You didn't even give two fucks about his injuries. Your dog is bleeding on my kitchen floor. So shape up, or I'm telling Slender that you can have a dog anymore. And since I am a slasher, I'm a higher rank, meaning I could boss Zalgo around if I wanted." "So what?!" "If you don't shape up, Smile is never coming home. Goodbye." Kirenia tapped the end call button, before dialing another number, she waited three rings before an answer. "Hello?" "Hey Pamela, would you be willing to take in a demonic dog that turns into a purebred husky during the day sometime and can talk like a human?" "Kirenia dear, what are you talking about?" "Smile Dog! Grinny Cat beat the snot out of him, and I need somewhere for him to stay until Jeff shapes up!" "Oh that dog! Sure as long as he gets along with Mr. Whiskers." "Who's that?" "My cat." "Pamela, a cat beat up Smile." "Oh, sorry dear. Why don't you call up my precious boy?" "I would but I don't have his number." "Oh I've got it dear it's 527-668-6674337." "That's one hell of a number." "He's got one of those newer phones. Speaking of my angel, have you seen his pets? He's got those two giant dogs, some sort of black creature that looks like it's part fish, and a little grey tabby." "I knew about the dogs, but not the other two." "Well he calls the black thing Neptune, and the cat Romeo." "Thanks Pam. I'll talk to him about it." Kirenia tapped the button again. "He's got an Aquatic. I hope he realizes they NEED to swim, but that's not important. What is is getting you fixed up, and contacting Jason." Kirenia then spent the next half hour washing the blood out of Smile's fur, and another twenty minutes patching him up. "Done. I'm going to text Jason." Kirenia grabbed her phone and proceeded to text her best friend.

R-Jason, it's Kirenia I need to ask a favor.

J-How'd you get my number?

R-Your mom. Listen, can you watch Smile Dog for a bit.

J-If Rust and Blade don't have a problem, then I don't.

R-Great! Could you come by in the morning?

J-Sure. Hey how's the kitten doing? She's not causing any trouble is she?

R-How did you know I have a kitten, and it's a girl?

J-Really? I'm the one that gave her to you!

R-Sorry. And Cali isn't really a trouble maker, she's well behaved.

J-She was the devil here.

R-Right. Well I've got to go. See you in the morning.

Kirenia shut off her phone, and looked to Smile, who had laid down next to Titan on his bed, and had rolled over on his back. "Am I going anywhere?" "I think you might be going to Camp Crystal Lake."
