An Unwanted Surprise (A David Tennant fanfic)

Allons-y (Let's Go)

I run through the Tardis, examining everything. I can't believe it, I'm in the actual Tardis with the actual Doctor.

'I'm dreaming...." I say to myself. Then aloud I say, "So it's really the real Tardis?" I ask coming back to where we entered, which is where Da....I mean the Doctor, was still standing.

"Yes, it's really the Tardis. And it's really me, and this is not a dream."

It was like he read my mind about the dream part. "So it's really really the real you, with the real Tardis?" I can't help but ask again.

"Yes. This is all real." He smiles again, he's been smiling a lot. I return a smile start tracing over the controls. "Amazing, right. The Tardis, she's amazing." He looks around then back at me.

I do have to agree that the Tardis is amazing. I can't wait to travel through time and space. I want to see the year 1 million, I want to see the Earth form. I want to see other worlds and universes. Then, I think, 'What of he doesn't want me to travel with him? But then why would he show me all of this?'

"Does this mean I'm your companion now? Am I going to travel with you?" I don't want to sound desperate, but it sort of comes out that way.

"Only if you want to." He looks into my eyes, and I, into his.

"Of course," I say with a smile of excitement.

Then he smiles again, with the smile I cannot help but love, "Where to first then?" He says making his way to the Tardis controls. Not being able to think of one place, I say, "Anywhere."

"Well, allons-y Chloe!" He says entering a random date into the Tardis's controls. "Allons-y!"
