I walk out of the Tardis, exstatic. I've been traveling with the Doctor for two weeks now, and its been amazing. I got to see a supernova explode, I watch the three suns of an alien planet set. I got to watch the pyramids of Egypt being built. We haven't run into any danger since the daleks. And now, I was going to see a nebula.
We landed on another ship, right on top of it. The Doctor set the oxygen on the Tardis top expand a little further. Now, I stand before the Eagle Nebula. It's absolutely breathtaking, just astounding. I gaze upon it, in awe. It's so bright and full of so many colors, I love it. The Doctor asked where I wanted to go, and I said a nebula. He asked if the Eagle one was fine and I didn't hesitate to say yes. I'm glad I did.
Right before my eyes, I see stars emerging. Just wonderful, extraordinary. Staring at it, I can't help but remember the conversation that the Doctor and I had after I defeated the daleks, about the light.
"Doctor? Are you sure that you don't know what that light was?" I begin as I take my gaze to the Doctor standing next to me, "That light that have me the gift?"
He sighs and I know that he actually does, "It was..." He trails of slightly, "It was the time vortex." He finishes his statement, and my eyes grow huge.
The time vortex was in my head. The time vortex was in my head? The time vortex was in my head!
"But..." I trail off, losing my train of thought, "But that's impossible." Remembering what I was going to say, I finish.
"Yes, you shouldn't be alive, that power and knowledge can kill a person. But," he pauses, looking deeply into my eyes, "somehow, you survived it."
I stare straight back at the nebula, in shock. How was this possible? It shouldn't be, but somehow, it was! My mine should have burned up, but it didn't. But, maybe that explains that when I tried using it, my head hurt so bad. It didn't make sense, not one bit.
"I should be dead, then, right? So how am I alive?" I look back at the Doctor, fear slightly on his face.
"I don't know..." He looks back at the nebula. "But, I could try to figure out by...entering your brain."
My eyes grow with fear, but then remember that he has done it before, gone into my mind. I was only two then, though. Hesitantly, I ask, "Could you please?"
I turn to face him and he faces me andwe both close our eyes and he places his fingertips on my head. I can feel him enter my brain, just slightly, but he does. Other than that, I don't feel a thing. I relax, letting my mind feel free, letting it become easier to navigate. I listen, and hear beating of my heart. Without a word, I can feel that he had exited my mind. I slowly open my eyes, as does he as he takes his hands off of my head.
"It's..." He begins, his voice a little shaky, "I don't know how, but it's become a part of your brain. It's dormant, like I thought it would be."
"What does that mean?" Worry is all over my face and in my voice.
"When I told you to think for the daleks to be gone to wish them away, you activated it. It hasn't killed you, because it can't. You control it, you can control time but only if it's necessary, like when your life is in danger." I suppose it made sense, but how it became part of my brain, I don't know. I guess though, anything is possible.
I take one last look at the Eagle Nebula, and step back in the Tardis, as does the Doctor, closing the doors. Next stop: I don't know, just any time and place, all throughout space.
~~A/N: I knew I forgot to do something yesterday!! And that was to update!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
