An Unwanted Surprise (A David Tennant fanfic)

There are just things you don't expect that pair up. Like peanut butter and pickles, am I right? Well I never thought that these specific aliens would ever pair up. But nope, they did, and now I'm terrified...

"Not good, not good, Chloe." The Doctor whispers to me as we stand in front of the plethora of cyber men.

I nod my head in agreement. Even though I have a gun, I feel defenseless. I don't know if I'd ever use it, but even with it in my arms, I feel the burden of it weigh me down.

"You are intruders, you will be upgraded." A monotone voice speaks from the crowd in the middle where a path was.

"Ah, but you failed to upgrade us earlier, you really should get higher security." I say smugly.

"No problem, our allies have secured the premises, we will be moving to a more advanced location once all our upgrades are complete." The monotone voice makes my heart sink, this was once a person, someone like myself, now it's an emotionless machine. I frown.

"What allies, as far as I know, cyber men work alone." The Doctor states next to me, with a puzzling look on his face.

"Why don't we just show you, Doctor?" A shrill, shrieking voice that is all too familiar says coming down the path in the middle.

Before me stands a dalek. My heart rate elevates, I'm not as scared of them as I was. But, they still scare me, and I fear that the vortex will not help me in this situation.

"Ah, daleks and cyber men working together? I thought both of you ran solo." The Doctor asks, and I was thinking the same thing.

"We are temporarily working together to gain the same goal." A dalek shrieks.

"And what would that be? World domination? Please." I roll my eyes.

"No, we intend to exterminate the population of this horrific rock, starting with the Doctor."

The Doctor and I laugh at the same time, "Good luck. You've tried to kill me more times than stars in the sky. Well, figuratively speaking, considering that there are millions upon billions of trillions of stars. But, knowing both if you, and you're hate for each other, you're both planning each others deaths."

"He is right. Cybermen, attack." The Cyberman from earlier says while shooting the dalek next to him.

Everywhere, cybermen shoot at the daleks in the corners and aisles.

"Condense operation B." The main Cyberman says.

I don't know what that means, but it can't be good. And before I know it, I'm on the ground in pain as my brain begins rewiring.
