"So what happened in there?" Jade asks when we're in the privacy of her car and our way to lunch.

"Nothing," I tell her. "We just talked."

"About?"

"He wants to have lunch and catch up sometime before I leave."

"And what'd you say?"

Sighing, I prop my arm up on the door, "I told him we weren't friends."

Jade sighs, "Imogen..."

"You don't have to lecture me, Jade. I know what I said was uncalled for."

"I know but that's still a mean thing to say."

"But don't I have a point? Justin and I were never friends. We went from strangers to lovers. There was no in-between with us."

We drive in complete silence for a few minutes; it isn't until we come to a stop light that Jade speaks up. "I think you should get lunch with him."

I glance over my shoulder and give my best friend a flat look. "That wouldn't be fair to Jax."

"I said get lunch with the guy, not fuck him."

I roll my eyes and shake my head, "I'll think about it."

"Don't think about it too much," she says. "Look at it this way, maybe now you'll finally get closure."

Closure.

That damn word.

These damn feelings.

Maybe she's right.

Maybe I need closure.

Maybe we need closure.
