Brooke's POV
Instead of going out like we planned, Calum and I decided to just watch movies back at the condo.
Me being me though, my mind has been everywhere except the movie playing. Calum, on the other hand, his focus is solely on the movie at the moment.
We ended up watching both of our favorite movies. He picked Monsters Inc. and mine is the Avengers, that we will watch after his.
I love this movie too, I really do but, my mind is everywhere right now. More memories have come back lately. The ones that show up the most is time I have spent with Calum.
Other memories that have been coming back include me with a blonde. I want to ask if Calum knows who it is, but at the same time I don't. I may figure this out on my own.
"Hey love," Calum brings me back to the present.
"What?" I ask him.
"I said I wanted to talk to you," he chuckles.
"Okay, about what?" I ask, my curiosity increasing.
"I wanted to do something special today, but I guess this will have to do."
"Calum, this is perfect. You don't have to do anything. As long as we are spending time together, that's all that matters." I tell him trying to make him feel better about our plans getting ruined.
"I know, but anyway I have something for you."
I let out a small groan, "Calum."
"Hey, technically I brought this for you before but I never got to give it to you because of the accident."
"Fine, but you know I..." He interrupts me.
"You don't like me spending money on you, well whatever. I will do what I please." He turns to pick up a small gift bag off the floor beside him.
"Surprise," he smiles and hands me the bag.
I am careful to take out the decorative toilet paper and place it to the side. I find a small silver colored jewelry box at the bottom of the bag. Taking it out, I raise an eyebrow at Calum.
"Oh my God Calum. This is the necklace I kept looking at when we went to the mall before going clubbing that time. It's so beautiful," I gush to him checking out the necklace.
It has a silver quarter moon with a marble that has stars, basically it looks like a galaxy hanging beside the moon.
"You remember that?" Calum questions me with a growing smile. I just nod in response.
"Can you put it on me please?" Calum nods as I turn around, my back facing him. I move my hair to the side so he can get a better look on the clip.
It doesn't take him long since I feel the necklace drop around my neck. It sits absolutely perfect under my neck, it's not too far down.
I catch myself admiring it, and I feel a pair of warm lips placing a single kiss on my neck.
"Thank you Calum. I love it so much." I turn around to face him again.
"Good, I'm glad."
I lean in so our lips are barely brushing, to just tease him a little bit.
"It's not fun to be teased," Calum whispers to me.
"Then maybe you should do something about it." I suggest as I bite my lip trying to hold back my smile.
"Maybe I will."
Our lips touch and in an instant, I feel those familiar sparks and heat radiating off his soft lips.
A throat clearing pulls us apart, and we try to catch our breath. I look up to lock eyes with Max. Only Max would interrupt us as we were kissing.
I shake my head, "What's up Max?"
"Sorry to cut your date short, but I need to talk to you." Max glances at Calum as he stands up.
"I will leave you two to talk." Calum walks over to me, giving me a kiss on my cheek before walking outside where the guys are.
"Again, what's up Max?"
"I wanted to ask you if you were ready to go home." He raises his hand up to scratch the back of his neck. I would be worried to if I was asking me this.
"I don't know. Why do we have to go?" I question him sitting back down on the couch.
"Mom thinks it will help your memory."
"I am remembering just fine without going home," I counter him. Even though I don't remember everything, I still have this feeling of hating home.
"Yes, but you don't remember everything. Look, we are just trying to do what we think is best for you." Max explains, trying to convince me.
"Is Calum coming?" I cross my arms over me chest to stand what little ground I have. I already know Max is going to get his way.
"Not at first. You and I are going then, maybe after a week he can join us."
"How long are we going to stay?" I keep throwing questions at him.
"Maybe a few weeks or a month. It depends on how long it takes you to remember."
"Do I actually have a choice?" I might as well give in. Max will probably drag me to the airport.
"Not really no," he chuckles.
"That's what I thought. Fine, whatever you want to do."
He starts to walk away before I stop him again, "Wait. Does Calum know yet?"
"Yes, I already talked to him. They have to go do some stuff for their upcoming tour anyway next week. It will do you both good to have some space for a week." I raise my eyebrows at Max again.
"Distance makes the heart grow fonder, or something like that." He makes both of us laugh.
"Wow, I didn't remember what I poet you are."
"Shut up and pack," he says causing us to laugh more.
