Chapter 1:

love: noun
(1)intense affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties
(2) a strong feeling of attraction resulting from sexual desire

They say when you love someone, you're willing to do anything for them. You would take care of them when they're sick, be there for them when they need you, and protect them no matter what.

You would be anything, do anything for them. Whether they need a friend, a brother/sister, protector, or lover.

Your mind can tell when something is wrong or when they're near you. When you two touch, you feel this unmistakable electricity, it's like butterflies erupt in your stomach.

You will love them unconditionally, they are your other half.

Brooke's POV

It's hard, it's hard to see the look of emotions on everyone's face when they tell me a story, or when I try to remember a small detail.

I remember a few things from when I was a little girl. I remember birthdays and other small details about my life.

I think the hardest part of all this is the look on Calum's face everyday. I want to be able to run up to kiss him and tell him that I remember everything, but I can't. That's what kills me the most.

I'm only getting back close with two people right now, Max and Marie. Calum has stayed away some because I can tell that he is not quite sure how to act.

We have spent time together, and he has been telling me what has happened in our relationship. When I do remember a small detail, I can see the sparkle of hope in his eyes.

--

"Hey," Calum walks into my hotel room.

"Hi," I greet him.

"How are you doing?" He takes a seat on the bed beside me.

"I'm okay. What about you?"

"I'm fine," he simply states.

This is what our conversations have consisted of. This and awkward silences, neither one of us knowing what to say.

"Are you ready to fly back to Los Angeles? We thought it would be good to go to back to where we used to be together before the tour." Calum told me while trying to give me a small smile.

"Ya, I guess I'm just nervous."

He goes to take my hand in comfort, but he stops himself. I slowly go back and forth in my head, before grabbing his hand instead.

Calum smiles a genuine smile, intertwining our fingers. I feel a familiar spark when he does.

"Hey, you two ready to go?" Max walks in, and asks as I let go of Calum's hand to stand up.

"Yes, we should get going." I walk over to grab my bags only to have Calum stops me.

"Don't worry. I got your bags." I give him a small smile, and follow Max out the door with Calum behind me.

--

I start to get nervous as we take our seats on the plane. Max and Calum have told me that I have flown many times on an airplane, but that doesn't stop my nerves now.

My seat ends up being beside Calum's, with Max behind us. A beautiful blonde sits down beside him. It doesn't take long for him to start chatting her up.

"Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seat belts. We will be taking of in a few minutes," the flight attendant says over the intercom.

As the plane starts to take off, my leg starts bouncing up and down, clearly showing my nerves.

"Hey, don't worry." Calum says quietly so only I can hear him.

"I know, but I can't help it."

"You can hold my hand if it will help." Almost instantly my hand intertwines with his, the feeling helping to calm my nerves.

I lay my head onto his shoulder and close my eyes. Calum lays his head on top of mine.

After a few minutes, I start to hear Calum hum a familiar song. I can't quite put my finger on it.

"Amnesia?"

Calum raises his head to look at me. "What?"

"That song, it's called Amnesia right?"

He gives me a huge smile, "Yes it is. This is the song I sang to you when we were on that date near the mountains I told you about."

"Really? I remembered." Oh my God, I remembered.

Okay, I know this is short but the other chapters will be longer. I can't believe it's already the first chapter for the sequel.
