Pete's POV

"You may now kiss the groom".

Happily I look at my new husband Patrick then lean in to kiss him gently. Patrick's arms are around my neck so I wrap an arm around his waist to dip him low and deepen the kiss. Usually it'd be super awkward but everyone in the pews just cheers because they know us and they had to have been expecting this.

I don't wanna stop kissing him but Patrick pushes me away and laughs "We've been married about a minute and you're already all over me, don't you know how to wait until we get home?" "Nope I love you too much" "I love you too but wait a couple hours silly, I'll make it worth your while" "You better make it up to me" "I always do"

Pouting I pull away and grab his hand "Come on then gorgeous". Laughing we run down the isle together out of the park were were holding the service in and towards the hall where we're gonna have the reception. Luckily we both decided to wear tuxes so I can easily scoop him up in my arms and carry him the rest of the way to the hall. Once we get there I lie him down on a table and quickly join our lips again, away from people's prying eyes.

We kiss for a while until I climb onto the table on top of him and bite his lip so I can get access to his mouth. I keep at it until the guests start walking in the doors and my best friend Brendon comes over to pull me off Patrick "Hey this is your party, you can't just sit here and make out the whole time, we need the wedding couples dance so come on" "But Bren" "No Petey come on, you have the rest of your lives to kiss so give everyone a couple of hours to congratulate you idiots" "Alright Bren, just shut up"

Grudgingly I get off Patrick and pull my new husband over to the dance floor for our dance. Both of us have no grace and can't dance for shit but it's so fun just moving on the dance floor with Patrick and holding him. We dance for about an hour until we're both drenched and exhausted and have to take a break

"Come on Petey I'm gonna fall over in a minute, let's go get a drink" "Alright Patty, I don't think going any longer will make my terrible dancing any better anyway and I need a beer".

We go to the tables where all the food and drink is but there's just champagne and wine, nothing stronger so I groan "Ugh seriously?" "We agreed no beer or whiskey at our wedding, I don't want you getting smashed" "But I've gotten drunk before" "Yeah but it's our wedding and you're not gonna be drunk off your face on our wedding night. I want us to remember today forever, I want you to remember this and how much I love you" "I love you too and I guess I'll live without alcohol" "I already said I'd make it worth your while, let's have some champagne though, to celebrate the rest of our lives together"

We both get a glass and toast to each other then have a couple more glasses as we just stand and watch people. We spend the next couple of hours talking to all the friends and family we invited and I'm deliriously happy. Even when talking to my bitchy extended family and dealing with their thinly veiled homophobia I'm happy with Patrick next to me.

By the end of the night the champagne has made me loosen up a bit so we brave the dance floor again. We slow dance for a while as the guests head home and I sneak in a few sneaky hip movements to remind Patrick that the nights not over yet. All I had was a few glasses of champagne so I'm still almost completely sober but I think Patrick had a few more than me. I made sure to keep refilling his glass so he's giggly and cute which I love. I get him drunk on beer all the time but he's often sleepy or pissed with that but he's adorable when he's drunk on champagne. This is exactly what I wanted because I want us to be able to think straight and remember this tomorrow but I love getting giggling and silly.

I make sure to keep Patrick away from anything with alcohol for the next hour as the rest of the guests. I know he wants to remember this and having a hangover the next day would make everything way less fun.
