"Here", Meliodas-san offers.
He holds out his to help me up but I flick his hand away. I hope back on my feet and into my stance. I play on defense for now.
It's been a week since I first meet the sins and they agreed to help me. Slowly but surely we 're making our way to the kingdom of Avon. To Adrian.
The day I felt better, I asked Ban to take me to the spot where he found me. He agreed and brought me when we arrived most of the bodies where gone. The sins had a deep connection with the kingdom of Liones so they got the holy knights their to remove the bodies of my friends before the animals came to eat them, but for most, it was too late.
Some bodies were still here there was a large group of holy knights still here to take away the dead, I nod in gratitude as they took away my friends. Warm tears feel form my face that day. I wasn't here to mourn, I need to look for my sword. My fathers sword the one he gave me before I never saw him again. Ancient words were embedded in the silver and tile blue handle with gold rimming. It was a magnificent piece.
"We should take a break", Meliodas smile humorously, "you look like you need it."
"No, I'm good just gotta," I look quickly down at my footing and back up at Meliodas, "I have to get the hang of fighting hand to hand combat". I didn't bring my sword. It needs cleaning and Merlin said she had something special in planned for it whatever that meant.
I also figured out where I recognized Merlin's name form. She was the mage that always was side King Arthur.
"I can tell. The way you move it's as if you're still fighting with a sword. You have to open yourself to new things. Just...," he pauses, "let go".
"Of what?", I questioned.
"You're angry. If you do this in a battle with someone else you will get yourself blinded. You can't let your emotions get the best of you. Either you end up hurt or someone you love will get hurt. Trust me I know this all too well", he smiles distantly.
"I'm trying to but it's not like hitting a button and boom I can forget the anger. My friends died in an instant and I couldn't help them. I was so weak! I was so helpless! And u hate feeling helpless", I say clenched my fist.
A gush of wind rushed over me and I barely had time to react. I quickly block Meliodas attack from behind. I get blown back but stay to my feet.
"Cheap shot!", I say wiping the tears from my cheek.
"You can't let yourself get distracted", Diane yells out.
"Still—", I yelled out but cut myself off. Meliodas aimed to attack again but I dodge. I fall backward as he stood inches in front of me. Quickly I get up to attack for his open left side he left unprotected. I attempt to deliver a full blow but he flips backward. I watch as he was over my head staring directly at me smirking.
I'm frozen for a second but quickly roll out the way. He punches the ground make a slight quake on the back of Hawk's mother. I hop up getting back to my feet readying myself.
"Sorry Hawks mom!," Meliodas yell down. She snorts steam from her nose and keeps walking her same paste.
"Okay...okay", I take a deep breath and relaxing.
Meliodas looks at me observing before deciding to shoot off at me engaging. I let go. Well, I tried to let go but it's not as simple as Meliodas makes it seem. There are a lot of things I can't get over. And honestly, I don't think I ever will....
