(Six Mouth Earlier)

"No!", Adrian laughed, "you don't—can I show you?"

"No", I say striking the dummy with a lower blow then a high one. I was determined to take this dummy down with my own hands even if that meant dying...so be it, "ya!"

"No!", he yells with a humored facial expression," it's high then low!" I sigh annoyed slightly at him taking this so seriously.

I turned around to face Adrian as he shakes his head holding onto the sword King Arthur had crafted himself for the young prince. I admired the sword ever since my eyes first laid on it. You could feel a powerful aura that flowed from within. It was a 14th-century Medieval sword. Black handle with runes engraved in it.

I face Adrian giving him a disapproving look, "Does it really matter?",I questioned.

He opens his mouth to answer but it's continued by my father mildly deep voice," of course! A good stance should always matter! What's the point in practicing it if not?", he laughs.

"Exactly", Adrian says bowing a little at my father. My father bows fully towards Adrian and they greet each other with a manly handshake. I watch standing on the sidelines.

"Mr. Yami (L/n) nice see you again sir", Adrian greets.

"As to you my prince. If you don't mind I'd like to borrow my daughter for a second." He looks over at me then back at Adrian sharing a look seriousness. Adrian nods understandably.

"Of course", he says as he begins to walk away from the courtyard. He looks back and smiles shyly at me before giving a wave. I smiled waving back at him in admiration. My dad approaches me smiling. I smiled for a short moment but it faded quickly as it came.

His smile was different. I don't know what made it different but it was in a way. I could tell he was gonna say something I didn't like and I feared it. He grabs my hands and looks me in my eyes deeply for a moment. I stare back blankly.

"I'm sorry," he says suddenly then embraces me in a hug. I hug back confused and suspicious. He would have never apologized so bluntly like this unless he was hiding something from me or was admitting he was wrong about something. And I doubt it was that last thing.

"Sorry?", I questioned, "for what?". I pulled away from the embrace to look at him fully. A tear begins to form but he blinks them back. I felt my heart sink.

"I gotta go," he says softly. I pulled my hands from him immediately. He meant the hunt. The Witch hunt that Adrian's dad organized. He was going too!

"You're gonna leave me!", I screamed, "how could you even agree to that dad!?"

He smiles sadly, "I wished you could understand...", he spoke softly. My rage ignited.

"Understand? I understand clearly dad! You wanna go out and live adventurously, but you'll die! Don't you know what that'll do to me! If I lost you—," I cut myself from finishing. Tears streamed down my face and I couldn't make them stop. Why couldn't they stop?

"I'm not gonna die. I'll always be right here," he points to my heart. He kept his smile on his face and looked upon me still smiling," one day you'll understand. Today's maybe not that day."

I wiped the newly fallen tears, "you had a choice. You could stay you don't have to go off and fight the Witch dad please."

He stood up and looked down at me, "I will not let others fight my battle." He tries to comfort me but I turn away. I wished I would have run in his arms but I couldn't I was consumed by my anger and sadness.

"Dad please!," I pleaded. My eyes became blurry with tears I couldn't see him only blurry crystals that resembled glass.

He sighed, "I leave tomorrow (Y/n)," he pats my shoulder, "I'll leave you to your thoughts," he begins to walk off from the courtyard and I drop to my knees sobbing.

I wanted to yell at him. Tell him of all the pain he would be causing if he'd left. If he'd die? But I couldn't. I couldn't let this be the last thing he remembered. I didn't want to lose him too. But I had to let go...I had to....

"Daddy...please...", I cried, "please come back to me soon." I let go. I could hear him stop walking for a moment then continue walking.

I smiled through the tears. I smiled through the pain. Because end the end he would come back to me. He had to. And in a way he did. Just not the way I hope. This guy that was wearing the face of my father was not my father. It was a man created by the devil himself. And just my luck the devils' sister the Witch.
