Thief!
Your P.o.v
I wandered around for a while looking for everyone but it's as if they've all vanished. I was starting to get worried. I didn't know this town nor the name. I forgot how to get out and where the hell direction I came from. I backed up against the wall my as worries grew. Maybe I should've just waited for Merlin.
I clench my sword strap and walk to the edge of the stoned ark. I stare out over it and at the ocean. The waves roared hitting the edge of the ark. I smiled and sniff the fresh breeze. Maybe I'll just stay here until someone familiar came by. I closed my eyes. I felt free.
Suddenly, my sword was yanked off my back causing the scrap to break. I quickly turned around to see what just happened. A person in a dirty brown hood took it and ran. For a second, shock took over but once I realized that I was being robbed I dashed after the person.
"Th—thief! Give it back!"
I ran after the random person. The person ran through a crowd of people forcefully pushing past them. I follow the gap he made. In the corridor, there was a two-way. They turn left and I follow right behind within inches.
With all the training I had in the kingdom, keeping up wasn't the hardest part. Making the turns and keeping the person in sight was the worst trouble. Once the turn was made I slide and almost fall. I handle the wall cutting my hand a little but staying on my feet. The person laughs.
I slipped on water. I had to watch my footing around these corners. They turn again this time right. I raced forward. I looked quickly nothing was there. I sigh relief and see that I'm very close to the thief now. Inches away. I speed up. I was so close I prepared myself to pounce on the thief.
As I ready myself to grab the thief. He laughs. I realized that I was so caught up in catching the person that I haven't looked at my surroundings. The thief shoots past a cooking restaurant. On it's way past, he pulls down a holder that holds the dishes on a shelf. It falls along with the dishes.
The guy laughs as I jump. With all the strength I could manage I jumped over the destroyed china. I roll up to my feet and with the momentum of that, I'm right behind the thief. He turns around and gasps as I kick him in the back.
I stop quickly and take sharp breaths. I walked over to the thief with my remaining strength. The thief was face first on the cement ground. The thief groans in discomfort.
"Dammit", I gasped out, "that...was...a workout."
I hear a laugh and I look up quickly. Making sure the thief wasn't back up. Thankful he wasn't. The voice didn't come from the thief but from Janko. I smiled when I realized it was her. She picks my sword up and hands it to me.
"Thanks", I say still gasping.
"Welcome," she looks behind her and at the person on the ground, "Yeah you gotta watch out for the thieves their everywhere in Freeland."
"Freeland? So that's where we are", I say taking my last breath and standing up. Not to far from the Kingdom.
"Yeah, but looks like you did pretty good handling yourself," she smirks then sets her hands on her hips, "no wonder Ban likes you."
My eyes quickly shot up at her. She has her eyes closed as if she's in deep thought. I grip my sword in my hand. What was she talking about?
"What?", I questioned. She breaks into a smile and opens up her eyes. Her brown eyes interlock with mine.
She laughs putting her hand on my shoulder, "well aren't you two dating?"
