Your P.O.V

I quickly darted in front of Stiles as soon as I spot Adrian in sight. He was engaged in a neutral conversation with the main maid Sandra. I walked quickly towards him, "Adrian," I spoke as my voice echos. He looks over his shoulder towards me and breaks into a glorious smile. He turns to walk over towards me quickly placing his arms around me in an embrace.

Adrian motions off Stiles showing that his task was completed," You came! For a moment I thought you might not have because of your training," he smiles softly," I know how important that is to you."

"I'm back home Adrian," I smiled," I'm not gonna go anywhere ever again."

He laughs happily," well in that case The old mans gonna be so happy to see you."

I stare as Adrian and tilt my head in confusion, "The Old Man?"

He laughs casually as if I've said something extremely hilarious," my father (Y/n)," he rolls his eyes playfully as he rubs his hand through my hair playfully.

I blushed embarrassed. "Your dad! How could I forget your dad?!", I cursed myself, "how is he?"

Adrian smiles sadly. He then turns to Sandra still standing behind him, "could you give us a moment?" he asked her. She nods quietly and walks away without a word. I stare worriedly.

"Adrian?", I questioned. He stares at me with those bright taunting green eyes while still holding a perfectly beautiful smile. He places a hand on my shoulder while staring at me calmly. I knew this look. He was pretending he was okay when he wasn't. Adrian was never good at pretending. His cheeks flushed the color of the outer edges of the lotus and his eyes looked distant. Clouded and distant.

I bring Adrian closer to me and into another hug, but this hug was different. It was warming and comforting showing I would be here always, even when I'm not. He's a little surprised at first but chuckles and tightens his arms around me. "You always read me so well."

"And still do," I stated. We both look at each other than being laughing but it ends as we both realize the problem that we had too far. Adrian more than I. "Is he getting better? At all?"

Adrian doesn't answer immediately he flops his head down on top of me. I could feel his pointy chin digging into my skull but I didn't mind. "No...", he finally spoke, "we don't know how long he's got and still we have no idea what the sickness is nor treatment."

"I'm sorry," I spoke softly as I rested my head in Adrian's chest, "if only...I-I came back sooner."

He chuckles, "you're here now right? That's good enough." He sighs and attempts to interlock his hand with mine. At first, I don't but knowing he needs me now I grab it and lock hands. "Hey?"

"What?," I asked looking up at him softly.

"Remember when we were little. I mean like really little. We would go on adventures even though My father and yours said not to wander off far from the kingdom and we still did, "Adrian smiles and I chuckled at the memories as they flashed in my mind suddenly.

"Yes," I laughed, "I remember. What about them?"

"Remember that bear?" he asked.

I groan then laughed, "oh no, how could I forget? We almost died when that bear came at us."

"Yeah, all because of you! You had to fall and twist your leg," he smiled.

"But who wanted to slide down that hill?", I asked matter-of-factly.
