I remember that rainy day
Back in October
Year 2014 where
We're sitting
In oakwood chairs
With tea in our lap
All I can hear
Was her resounding laugh
All I can see
As she was sitting in front
Of me
Was how her story
Gave me hope and
How her honest eyes
Lighted up the whole room
And when she stop
Sharing the story
About how
She was still thankful
For the life she got
She made the raindrops go still
It was quiet
It was beautifully quiet
It was a comfortable silence
I remember that very day
Because that's the day
I have
Fallen in love
