BETTER THAN EVER

NIGELS POV

I was finally able to take my little mate home after all the time spent in the hospital. I felt good just knowing she was happy and healthy again.

After her little confession about wanting to mate I decided to make the night a special one she would never forget.

I told her to get all dressed up for a formal occasion conveniently leaving out where we would be going. I got dressed in a suit in tie, which by the way I never wore, and waited for her to join me.

I watched her walk down the stairs and I couldn't help but stare. She took my breath away and I stood speechless admiring her beauty. 

She looked more beautiful than I had ever seen her in a light blue dress that caressed her upper body and flowed beautifully to right below her knees. She had on low white comfortable heels and her hair was loosely curled. She looked like an angel.

"Nigel?"  he said snapping me out of my daze.

"Yes sweetheart" I answered.

"I've called you about six times. Are you feeling okay?" she said curiously.

"I'm fine. You just look so beautiful" I admitted.

"Thank you" she said shyly.

I extended my hand to her and we headed to the car. I was driving my black BMW tonight, only the best for my girl.

An hour later we arrived at our destination. I helped her out of the car and stood behind her.

"Now close your eyes and let me guide you" I said placing a blind fold over her eyes. She closed her eyes and nodded in agreement which I was thankful for. It showed that she trusted me and that's all I could ever ask for.

I guided her down a path and through the thees of the forest until we reached a secluded spot. Not very many people knew of this area but it was one of my favorites.

I untied the blindfold and she gasped in amazement. "Nile it's beautiful" she said taking in the scenery.  The stars shown brighter here than anywhere else lighting up the sky in a heavenly glow. It was also a full moon tonight making it even better.

I had a table set up with lit candles and our dinner under silver lids ready for us to enjoy. I also had wine for us to drink and lemon pie for desert since it was her favorite.

"When did you find the time to do all this?" she asked in awe.

"I had some help and honestly I've been planning it for a while" I admitted.

"Is that so?" she said accusingly.

I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly. I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.

"Ha so you do blush" she said bursting out laughing. I growled playfully at her and we began eating.

After we we're done I played some soft music and we slow danced for a while. There was one more thing I had to do before we headed to the room I arranged for the night so we wouldn't be disturbed.

"Sweetheart do me a favor and look at the sky" I told her. She did as I said and I mind linked Jace to give him the signal. He was back at the back house and all he needed to do was press the button. As if on cue fireworks erupted and the words 'WILL YOU MARRY ME?' were displayed across the moon.

"Nigel o my goodness"  she gasped.

"Just please say yes" I told her grinning.

"Yesss" she said in tears.
