THE SECOND DATE

COLBYS POV

I almost didn't sleep last night. I couldn't belive that Kyla had been so understanding. It just made me realize that I really didn't deserve her.

She had been so understanding when I confessed to her how much of a screw up I had been before I met her. Admitting to my mate that I had been with other women before her was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Yeah I know that it happens all the time and that as an alpha my sex drive is higher than normal but it didn't make me feel any better. I hurt her even if she didn't admit it.

I couldn't stand the thought of her feeling like she wasn't worth waiting for. If I could do it all over again I would never even look at another woman before meeting her. I woke up this morning prepared to grovel and beg her to forgive me even though she said she already had. Her kisses were like drugs I took one hit now I was addicted, I couldn't live without them, I couldn't live without her.

Deep down I knew she was telling the truth about forgiving me. I could feel it when she kissed me. But it didn't mean that I wouldn't try to make it up to her. I just had to think of something that would be good enough. Then it hit me.

I would take her on a second date. Not just any date though. One she would never forget.

KYLAS POV

I woke up the next morning to notice Cole already gone. I hoped he wasn't still worried about last night. I honestly had forgiven him and hoped he knew that.

I was climbing out of bed getting ready to head to the shower when I noticed a letter on the nightstand. I opened it and and immediately I knew it was from Cole:

HEY BEAUTIFUL I KNOW YOU SAID THAT YOU HAD FORGIVEN ME BUT IM GOING TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU. AFTER YOUR SHOWER GO DOWNSTAIRS AND ENJOY YOUR BREAKFAST THAT I MADE. THEN FIND THE NEXT LETTER - LOVE COLE

I followed his instructions curious as to what he could have planned. I had been on the receiving end of his surprises before and I can honestly say they took my breath away. I took my shower and headed downstairs.

I was a little disappointed that he wasn't here but I knew I would be seeing him later. I ate the delicious pancakes, bacon, and eggs he made me. Just as I was about to rinse the dish I spotted the second letter.

GO TO THE LIVING ROOM WALK OVER TO THE BLU RAY AND PRESS PLAY - LOVE COLE

I once again did as he instructed and was surprised as my favorite moive A Walk To Remember began to play. I couldn't figure out how he knew it was my favorite movie or where he got it since he certainly didn't own it.

Deciding to save that thought for another day I watched the movie. I noticed the case on top of the Blu-ray so I decided to take it out and put it back in the case. Just as I was about to place it on the shelf I spotted the next letter. I couldnt help but notice it was almost like he knew exactly what I was going to do each time. The third letter read:

HOPED YOU LIKED THE MOVIE. WISH I COULD BE THERE WITH YOU BUT I HAVE SOME THINGS TO TAKE CARE OF. GO GET YOUR HAIR AND NAILS DONE. I ALREADY PROGRAMMED THE GPS IN YOUR CAR WITH DIRECTIONS -LOVE COLE

There was no way I was gonna argue with that one. I grabbed my purse and keys after making myself descent and headed to the boutique. When my hair and nails were finished the lady doing my hair handed me the fourth letter.

NOW THAT YOUR ALL PRETTY FOR ME GO HOME AND PUT ON A DRESS FOR A FORMAL OCCASSION. YOU HAVE A BIG EVENING AHEAD OF YOU -LOVE COLE

I didn't know what Cole was planning but I had a feeling it was gonna be amazing. I made my way to the house truly excited. I ran up the stairs and picked out one of the most beautiful dresses I could find.

It was a soft shade of lavender and flowed all the way down to my feet. It was tight around my waist and let out at my hips. It had a sweet heart neckline and the back had a dangerously low drop.

It complemented my figure perfectly. I found some gold open toed heels and put on my gold bracelet and necklace set with matching earrings. I felt like a princess. I went to the vanity to add some light makeup and found the fifth letter.

GO OUTSIDE AND FOLLOW THE ROSE PETALS THEY WILL LEAD YOU TO ME -LOVE COLE

After checking my appearance I almost ran downstairs. I couldn't wait to see him. Sure enough when I opened the door there was a trail of rose petals. They led from the door around the pack house to the end of driveway.

There stood Cole holding twelve dozen roses. He was standing in front of a limo wearing a suit and tie. He had never looked so handsome. "Cole you didn't have to do all of this" I said when I finally reached him. "I wanted to" he said handing me the roses and opening the door for me to climb into the limo.

"Where are we going" I asked him once we were inside and the driver began his job. "You'll see" he told me with a sly grin. I wanted to question him further but decided against it.

Half an hour later we pulled up to the most elegant restaurant I had ever seen."Cole unhonestly this is to much" I knew the place had to cost a fortune. "Nothings to much for you angel you deserve this and much more" He got out of the limo and extended his hand for me to take.

We walked right through since he had already made reservations. We ordered our meals and I was still having trouble processing it all. It was like it was to good to be true. Everything was perfect, he was perfect.

"You enjoying yourself princess" he asked me after the food arrived. "That's an understatement I still can't believe you did all this" he just laughed and we enjoyed the amazing dinner. He stood up and I did the same thinking we were about to leave. All of a sudden he dropped to one knee.

I couldn't breathe. "Kyla Grace Langston I love you with all my heart. I promise from this day forward I will dedicate my life to making you happy and keeping you safe from harm. I know I can't change my past but I want you to know that I never have nor will I ever love anyone else the way I love you. You mean the world to me. Will you be my girlfriend and accept this promise ring as a reminder of my love and dedication"

I was in tears by this point as he slipped the diamond ring on my finger. I didn't notice all the awwws from the crowd as I nodded my head in reply. I was lost for words.

He smiled from ear to ear and carried me bridal style to the limo. We arrived home there was romantic music playing so we danced until we were tired. He carried me up the stairs and we changed into comfortable clothes and climbed into bed. As he held me it finally came to me.

I loved this man, more than anything and as long as he was by my side I could do anything. I was ready to accept my postion as luna and stand by him. There was no reason to wait. I was also ready to be fully mated to him.
