THE REALIZATION PART 1

KYLAS POV

It pained me to see Nigel that way. He was normally such a nice, laid back, easy going guy. To see him loose it like that made me realize how much he truly loved Jana.

I couldn't belive my best friend was missing. It just couldn't understand it. "You okay baby?" Cole asked me with a worried look on his face.

He knew how close Jana and I were and I could tell he was worried as well. After all she was his former packmate and they had been friends as well.

"Yeah I'm fine. I just don't get it. Who could have done this?" I said more to myself then him. "I don't know but I promise we will find her" he reassured me.

Everyone had split into teams and had started the search with the exception of Jessica who Jace refused to let her take part. There were also a few other males who had sent their mates back to protect them. To be honest I was a little surprised I was still here. Obviously I spoke to soon.

"Colby, Jace and I think its best you take Kayla home. Its not safe here for her" Nigel told Cole. "No way I'm staying. She's my best friend" I said outraged. "I know baby but I agree with them. I don't know what I would do if I lost you. Its to dangerous" Cole said to me with a looked that begged me to understand. "I know but" "Sis don't fight us on this one. Its for your own good" Jace said grabbing me into an embrace.

I reluctantly made my way to Coles car. "Dont be mad babe" he said starting the car. " I'm not made I understand but I feel helpless Cole. I want to do something" I said hopping he understood where I was coming from.

"I know sweetheart and love you all the more for it. But the thought of possibly being in danger would drive me and everyone else insane. I need to know you are safe" He grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly. I knew he was right but it still did nothing to stop the feeling of being usless that I felt.

We arrived at the house and he sent Nick who was the gamma and some guy by the name of Grayson to look after me. Usually I would have argued about how I didn't need a babysitter but I honestly didn't feel like it.

"Please stay here Kyla. Race and I are going back to help Nigel. I will be back as soon as I can" he said kissing me on the cheek.

I just sat in our room thinking everything over. I wondered if they would be able to get any answers. I wondered if Jana was alright and prayed that she was not somewhere fighting for her life.

I thought about how we instantly became friends when we met. I sat next to her in a chorus class and we had been friends since. It was kind of funny how fate worked. She had the hugest crush on this guy when were in high school until she found out he wasn't who she thought he was. He ended up being crazy and a real jerk who caused her way more tears then he was worth. It took sometime for her to see what he really was but she came to her senses in the end with a little help from me.

I shuttered to think what would have happened if she hadn't. I knew he was trouble but she had to see it for herself. Its part of the reason she was the way she was. It was hard for her to trust. But I could tell that Nigel had been tearing down all the walls she had built.

Then it hit like a ton of bricks. I couldnt believe it had taken this long for me to figure it out. I knew who took Jana.
