Chapter 2: SURPRISE!!!

Jasper POV

We were walking up to the Volturi, it was HUGE! Bigger than I thought it would be. Everyone was very nervous it was coming in waves off them making me want to faint. Even Carlisle was nervous, that was not a very good sign.

We were stopped at the doors by a big muscular vampire who looked almost like Emmet. He looked us down then lead us through a series of hallways and through a big set of double doors where three vampires were sitting in thrones with blood red eyes and long hair. In the middle he had black hair and a big smile on his face, Aro. I remember Carlisle speaking of them. On his left was a bored looking vampire, Marcus. And on his right with, more yellow than blond, hair looking at us with interest was Caius.

"Welcome friends!" says Aro as he walks up and takes Carlisle's hand. He nods at Carlisle and then reaches for Edward and takes his hand. Everyone is confused except Carlisle and Esme who seem to know what's going on. I frown.

Aro let's go of Edwards hand and tsk's. Then he reaches for MY hand!! After a moment he smiles and pats me on the head. I guess he liked what he saw. Huh?

He walks back to his thrown and sits still smiling.

"I guess you all are wondering what you are doing here and where our fourth is," he says. 'Ya I was thinking just that' I think. We nod.

"Well!" He claps his hands. "You'll figure it out tomorrow. Jane." She nods and leads us out the doors. We walk through more hallways and I swear I could smell the faintness of Bella and Ness's scents. I'm probably just hallucinating it's been about two years since we last saw them. We have no idea what happened to them, they could be dead at this point. But I don't think so Bella was strong, stubborn, and she fought in vampire wars after she was changed and her daughter was old enough. I remember when they told us that the day before Edward said he was marrying Alice. I sigh.

We stop and Jane opens a door.

"This is the middle room there is four other rooms connecting. If you need anything just call or help yourselves." With that she turns and leaves. Could use more nice hospitality around here, jeez. We all walk into the living room and sit down. Carlisle paces back and forth. I know he knows something but I keep my mouth shut and let him pretend he's worried, knowing its for a good reason.

"We still need to keep our guard up just in case this new air is bad news," he says. We nod.

"She or he must be way more powerful then any vampire if she or he made it to that position," I say. We all nod our heads.

"This is just great we all are going to die," Edward mutters.

"No we're not," snaps Carlisle. We look at him shocked. He has never really snapped, always calm. "Now you listen I've had enough ok? I know who it is we're not going to die. Well maybe Edward might but we are going to be fine ok???!!!" He throws his arms up in surrender and sighs shaking his head. We look at him surprised. I knew it, he did know something. But who is it?

"And don't ask because I said I wouldn't tell, you'll find out tomorrow." With that he walks out of the middle room and into his with Esme quick behind him.

Edward sighs saying, "I still think we're going to die.", and goes to his room with Alice behind him. I shake my head and me, Rose and Emmet leave last. I tell them I'm going to go walk around the castle. They nod and I walk out. As I walk I run into the guards and greet them. I learn their names, the big guy that brought us in was Felix, then there's Demetri, Hedia, Jane, Alec, and Santi. I hear laughing and follow it.

"Shhhhh, Jane." I hear someone say.

Jane laughs.

"NOW!!!" Says the voice and I'm tackled to the ground.

"Ahhh!" I yell. Then someone bursts out laughing. Jane it looked like gets off me and a hand helps me up. I brush myself off and look up to see two people smiling at me, with Jane on the other girls back. She almost looks like Bella. I frown. They stop laughing.

"Were sorry." The girl that looks like Bella says but they both keep smiling.

"Ya it gets boring around here and when you do it to Alec he just chases you and Izzy has to stick him to the wall to get him to calm down," says Jane. I just nod.

"Oh!" Says I guess is Izzy. She shifts Jane who is still on her back and puts her hand out. "I'm Izzy by they way."

"Nice to meet you I'm Jasper," I say slowly unsure.

"I know." She sighs sounding sad. I frown.

"See tomorrow." She smiles suddenly and their both gone. Awkward!!! I turn and go back to our rooms and close the door and think about what might happen tomorrow.

Bella POV

I really felt bad about lying to Jasper but it was the only way to make contact with him. I still felt sad even thought I would see him and the rest later.

"Nooooooo!" I whined as Jane said to get into a skinny hot pink dress.

"PLLLEEAASSEE????" Jane asked giving me a puppy face. Not going to happen.

"Jane, I'm going to wear my black shirt with leather jacket, dark flowy jeans, and my black flats instead of my combat boots. Better?" I say stubbornly.

"Me too but red and white instead of black," says Ness looking at the dress Jane gave her. Jane huffs 'fine'.

"You don't want to be like Pixie do ya?" I ask Jane. Her eyes go wide. She hates Alice, and shakes her head violently. "Nononononono!!!!" she says quickly and goes to get ready.

Me and Ness change into OUR outfits along with our Volituri cloaks and necklaces. We put on our makeup and teleport to the double doors. We walk through the doors and sit on our thrones as Queen and Princess and wait for our guests. Only a few had arrived. We had not met them yet but was planning to anyway. I still had also blocked the future from Alice. She's been frustrated all day long!!! Hehe!!

Guests kept coming in but we had no sign of the Cullen's. Ness was practically jumping in her chair. We hadn't seen the Cullen's in two years after we left to come take the newborns. We also got rid of the Vampire wars, along with that freak Maria. Ya that was fun!

Then their smell hit me like a bag of rocks. I looked like my vampire self and the scars I had were hardly visible but I was nervous. Ness stopped jumping, she got nervous to. What if they didn't recognize us? What if they hated us?

No time for answers because the doors open and there were seven gold eyed vamps staring right back at us and their shock was in waves.
