Chapter 9: Carlisle

Bella POV

We were moving fast through darkness. I watched as time went by, not exactly sure where to stop. I got it!! I waited until we got just a bit farther back.
"Stop." I murmured. Suddenly everything stopped moving and we found ourselves about three-hundred years back. Perfect!
"Ok." I told them. "We'll start here." Kanin snorted.
"What are we looking for? A bottle of blood for the cure? Seriously sister what are we waiting for, the Easter bunny to come out and say "Here you are the cure"?" I felt my fangs folding out from my gums. Ya I have fangs, forgot about that. Remember I'm from a different time of vampires?? It took at my might not to tear him into shreds and kept back a snarl. Instead I glared.

"No this is about the time Carlisle is going to be changed and were going to use him for some help because this is the time it starts and if we can catch it before it gets worst maybe we can use something that people have now that we don't have later." I snap at him. He glares back but nods.

We watch the street waiting. I look at my phone to its five to twelve. We got five minutes.
"Doesn't this 'Carlisle' not become a doctor until later." Kanin asks impatiently.
"Ya well WE'RE going to help a bit with that." I snap. Man he really gets on my nerves. If it wasn't for the fact he tried to take over the world with vampires and humans as slaves I might like him a bit better. But that's story for anther time.

"You know sister you should let your instincts take over and let the monster inside of you rule. I just don't understand why you care so much about these blood bags. You should be like them." He says pointing.

I snarl and turn around. Finally! I watch as the vampires and humans coiled with each other. And theirs Carlisle up in the front. We watch and wait for a few minutes until we see Carlisle on his stomach crawling over into the ally.

I gesture for them to stay as I walk over and do what I did before with him but instead of making him forget I tell him I will be their when he wakes up. He nods and I close the lid and walk back over to the others

3 Days Later

"That blood bag done yet?" Asks Kanin walking back toward us. He's kept himself occupied by going to night clubs. Doing what, you really don't want to know.
"Technically he's not human anymore so you can stop calling him that and he's still got three hours ta go." I snap glaring. I would really like to go back to Jasper's time when he wasn't as annoying and was SMARTER but hey.

We sit their for the next three hours listening to Kanin make snide comments about this and that. I'm about really to grab my katana
(a long, single-edged sword used by Japanese samurai:) out of the sheath when I hear Carlisle's heart take its last beat before it stops.

We speed over into the ally but keeping our distance and watch as Carlisle slowly lifts the lid off the dumpster.
Looking around he seems to miss us from where we stand.
"Carlisle." I say softly stepping out of the shadows. His head snaps in my direction. His eyes narrow.
"Who are you?" Then realization clicks. His eyes widen.
"Y..your the girl from last night...you helped me." He stutters. I nod.
"Yes don't worry we're not going to hurt you." He frowns at the we.

"Yet." Comes a voice from behind me. Out steps Kanin and Sarren.
"Not, now shut up 'James'." I say using his human name. He hates it. He changes his name a lot until he likes it. He glares but ignores me. I turn back to Carlisle.

"Don't listen to that rat we won't hurt you. We're here for us to help you and you to help us." I say. He frowns again.
"How can I help you?" He asks confused.
"You'll see but first we need to hunt especially you." I reply. He nods.
"But I don't want to kill humans." He says.
"Don't you remember what I told you before you changed?" I asks. He looks thoughtful for a moment then nods.
"Animals." He says. I nod. I gesture for him to follow and I turn to Kanin and Sarren.
"Meet me at the old lab." Sarren nods and they start heading over. I turn back to Carlisle and start walking toward the forest.

We catch a couple of animals and start heading toward the old lab. To figure out what the heck we're going to do or if we're all done. Jeez, I hope not.
