Whouffaldi oneshots

Clara my clara.

"Clara!"
"Clara!"
"Clara!"
The Doctor shouted helplessly in his dream state, all he could see was Clara's lifeless body collapsing to the floor, his arms were flailing wildly and his breathe was coming out in short gasps. He was pulled roughly out of his nightmare by a small hand on his forehead and his named being called with a worried tone, his blue eyes met beautiful brown ones, he looked around to see were he was but Clara pulled his face forward so he could look at her.

"Hey, hey it's ok no need to panic I'm here now" Clara said in a soothing tone.

Then without warning the doctor pulled Clara forward into a bone crushing hug, after the initial shock of him hugging her, Clara slipped one hand around his waist and the other into his hair. She drew soothing patterns onto his back while she ran one hand through his hair, she could feel his tears on her shoulder, she whispered

"Don't worry I've got you, you're safe now" she whispered.

"it's ok, it's ok" she repeated over and over again.

They stayed like that for a while before Clara let go, and pulled the doctor up to look at her, the sight she saw was heartbreaking, his eyes were red from the tears and his face portrayed the pain he felt.

Clara gently wiped the tears from his face before saying "you were having a nightmare doctor, you were shouting my name, do you wanna tell me what it was about ?"

The doctor hesitated before saying " I lost you Clara, you died at my hand Clara, my Clara I let you die" his voice broke as he spoke.

 "oh doctor" Clara whispered in a heartbroken voice "do you want to talk about it ?" She asked, he shook his head and she pulled him back into a gentle hug "ok that's fine, but you need to get some sleep we can talk about this tomorrow, ok ?"

He nodded before clara pulled him down on to the bed with her so she could hold him for the rest of the night. She placed a kiss in his fluffy hair before pulling him to her, he nuzzled his face into her shoulder before falling into a peaceful sleep. Clara smiled at his sleeping form she loved how relaxed he looked when he slept, then she let herself fall asleep safe in the knowledge that the doctor would be nightmare free.
