I already asked this person and they confirmed to me that they would like me to put their username on this story; they also said that if you ever want to talk, no matter your age or problems just PM her; @DoodleDork is a kind person, so please just remember she's not the only one who will listen. Everyone taking part in this project will listen - its why we all joined and started in the first place.

So well I'm thirteen now. I became depressed around the age of eight because I got bullied. A lot. When I was eight my closest friend told me, she couldn't hang out with me anymore because her mom told her so. A few weeks later I didn't see the point in life anymore and tried for the first time to commit suicide, in the only way I knew could die, which was amazingly innocent; by jumping off of a slide a few times. I only sprained my ankle luckily. So the years went on and the bullying became worse. They chased me, hit me, etc. I myself also became worse, but I did have two friends and they meant the world to me; I couldn't think of suicide anymore.

Then I turned twelve and went into my freshman year. I'm an early student and one of the youngest, but I didn't get bullied. I even found my best friend from when I was 4years old back, we're closer than ever before. School on the other hand was and still is driving me crazy. Right now, at the age of thirteen I have depression, I'm suicidal (again, but not as much as before). I have a few anxiety and panic disorders and pretty bad insomnia . If my parents would take me to a doctor, I'm pretty sure they would label me as bipolar, but oh well.

So do books about depression and such help me? Absolutely! They showed me that it isn't normal to feel this way and even showed me that you can still achieve your life goals. It helped me to see that people around me, also have these problems, and I made a lot of friends on here, that I hope I'll never lose to suicide and I even prevented some attempts. So yes, I might be thirteen, but thanks to all this trouble I am surely mature enough to read about the same stuff - as what I deal with. And if some people aren't, it will educate them. I'm sure of it.
