Chapter Five

CHAPTER 5

** Kim Jing's POV **

I told every single thing to my two best friends.

"Yaaaa! Why didnt you tell us earlier!" Lily said while smacking my hand.

I rubbed the part where she smacked and responded,"They just moved in yesterday! And I was busy with them!"

Lily looked down at her feet and mumbled softly,"You still could have called us or something."          

"Both of you dont have to quarrel. It's solved now. At least we know that they are staying in your house. Btw, did you fall for any of them?" Jang Eun said, winking at the last part.

I blushed for a second but quickly recovered from it and put on my normal expression.

"No! They were in my house since yesterday only. How could I fall for them so quickly?" I replied.

There was a silence and I saw Jang Eun smiling creepily at me and I realised what I had said.

"Not that I will fall for them! Yaaaaa! Listen to me!" I screamed at them while they just ignored me and smirked.

"Just say whatever you want," Lily and Jang Eun said unisonly.

We walked into our first period which was Maths. I was weak in Maths while Lily was very good at it. I would always ask her to teach me but lets just say that it always didnt end well. She would just stormed out of the room in frustration.

When we reached our first period, we saw Kai and Chanyeol in the class. We were in the same class. They were surrounded by some girls in our class. Even with all the girls surrounding them, they still could see me. They frantically waved at me. I waved back and walked to my seat, so did Jang Eun and Lily. Kai and Chanyeol stood up and walked towards our seats. They stopped at the two seats next to mine and sat down. I looked at them weirdly.

"Why are you guys sitting here?" I asked them, raising one of my eyebrow.

"What? Can't I seat with my house mate?" Chanyeol replied while nudging my shoulder playfully.

Suddenly, Chanyeol was looking at me in a very unusual way. He leaned into my ear and said,"Hmm, look where Kai went."

I searched for Kai and he was next to Jang Eun. They were interacting with one another, smiling at each other.

"I bet they'll be a pair," I told Chanyeol.

He agreed with me and soon, we talked about some stuff with Lily included in it. 

Soon, our teacher came into the class, along with a new girl. She was as taller than me and she was so pretty. I have never seen anyone as pretty as her. She looked like an idol or maybe a model.

"Hello. My name is Huang Hae Ri. I hope to get to know all of you better. Nice to meet all of you. Hope that we will work well together." She bowed.

All the boys were just staring at her like as if she was a piece of meat. The teacher asked her to sit down while he prepared his things for his lesson. She looked around the class but there were no available seats. I was just about to give her my seat when Chanyeol beat me to it. He walked towards her and guided her to his seat and she sat down while he took a chair from the class next door. She looked at me and introduced herself. I also introduced myself to her.

"Hi. Nice too meet you. I'm Kim Jing. And these are Jang Eun, Lily and Kai," I told her pointing to them.

They waved at her before going back to what they were doing.

"So why did you transfer?" I was so curious.

"Ohh, my dad and mum just got divorced so I have to change school. I went with my mum."

I didnt want to prey any further into her family issues so I just started with a new topic. Soon, Chanyeol came back and talked to Hae Ri. He didnt even let me talk to her! How rude. But I just got a feeling that they will like each other. Since I have no one to talk to, I listened to what the teacher was teaching.

"LUNCHTIME! Lets go to the canteen before other students reach," I said to my three friends, including Hae Ri.Yes, she is my friend. I was so shocked when I saw Hae Ri's expression when I asked her whether she knew EXO or not. She was giving me the blank look. She didnt know who EXO were. And that was when she officially became my friends. I dont want anyone, who was a fan of them, to be my friend. I just dont want anyone to take advantage of my friendship just to see EXO. I know it was picky and mean of me but I just had to do it.

All of us were heading towards the canteen and we heard girls screaming. Hae Ri was so suprised. I giggled at her reaction.

"And that was EXO's fan's screamings," I told her.

"Why are all of you so calm?"

"This basically happens everyday. We are used to it," I said while her mouth went to an 'o' shape.

We walked into the canteen and Chanyeol suddenly appeared in front of us. Dont ask me how he appear so fast.

Chanyeol looked at us and said while grinning," Lets go to the EXO table."

Hae Ri was shocked. I realised I didnt tell her that Chanyeol was one of the EXO member. She turned to me and gave me the why-didnt-you-tell-me face. I just laughed and mouthed my apology. She smiled at me and then, she was being dragged by Chanyeol to the table while we followed them.

When we reached their table, I saw that all the boys were just staring at Hae Ri when Chanyeol was introducing her to them  and he was also trying to be protective of her by putting his arms around her, basically saying 'she's mine'. Kai asked Jang Eun to sit with him and Kris called Lily to sit with him, leaving me alone. Suddenly, Sehun called my name.

"Kim Jing! Come here, sit with me!"

My heart skipped for a second. I stood there, unable to register what had happened. He was just getting weirder. I wonder why. Maybe he likes Hae Ri . He was treating me well to look good in front of Hae Ri? My heart ached at the thought of that. I walked to the seat he was patting.

I whispered into Sehun's ear,"Meet me at the field after this. I want to talk to you."

He nodded at me and started eating his food. All of us talked to each other without any awkward tension. Chen, Baekhyun and Chanyeol were the one who always crack jokes and made us laughed.

When I finished, I excused myself and headed to the field first. I sat on the bench and I saw Sehun coming towards me.

"So what do you want to talk about?" He asked while sliding his hands into his pants, which made him looked pretty cool."

"Why are you being different to me? You always bully me for goodness sake! Now you acted like as if we were friends. What are you getting at? If you are doing this to appear good in front of Hae Ri, then just stop it!"

He looked at me and just burst into laughter. He laughed non-stop for one or two minutes before gathering himself back together.

"You thought I was doing it for Hae Ri? Didnt you see how protective Chanyeol was of her? Besides, there is someone else that has taken my heart."

I mumbled an incoherent 'okay' immediately and ran as fast I could away from him. Tears ran down my cheeks continuously while I ran away. I felt my heart broke into pieces when he said it. I felt like there were endless arrows being shot to my heart. It was an unbearable feeling. 

That was when I truly realised that I, Kim Jing, liked the person who bullied me, Sehun.
