Mixed emotions

I clicked Brandon's message first because I actually liked Brandon.

B: Y/n I'm so sorry for what happened. I know you gave Hunter another chance and he wrecked it, he's so stupid. I hope your hanging in there and I just wanted to let you know that I'm always here if you need to talk about anything. 

I answered Brandon

Y/n: I'm barely hanging in there but i'm still here. Thank you Brandon I love you so much

B: I love you too y/n... just hang in there and don't do anything stupid

Y/n: Ill try not to:)

After that Brandon didn't answer so I didn't to click on Hunter's message. 

H: Y/n! you don't understand how badly I messed up, I didn't think she was going to kiss me. I was just in shock that's why it took be a while to realize what was happening and I realized when it was to late. I know you're probably not on speaking or texting terms with me but I'm so so so sorry and If there's anything I can do I would. If you EVER give me another chance I promise you with all my heart that you will not be let down. I would love you with all my heart and NOTHING like that would happen ever again I promise baby girl. <3

I really didn't want to text him back but I wanted him to know how I felt and that I was heart broken, so I texted him

Y/n: Hunter...you hurt me once and I was stupid enough to forgive you but I still did and when I do forgive you, you wreck it. Even if the kiss was a complete and total accident you still went and met her. You broke my heart twice Hunter twice. I don't even know if I can trust you. I need space so please give me it.

Hunter replied right away

H: Y/n I really truly sorry. But if space is what you want then I need to give you it. I want you to know how sorry I am.

I was really upset but I didn't want to show it especially around Kayla. "Wanna go to the ice cream store, maybe get your mind off it?" Kayla looked up from her phone and asked me. "That would be great" I smiled at her and stood up. We left the house and started walking down the road when Hunter came out of his house. He cut across his front lawn. I don't think he noticed us because his head was held down the whole time. Me and Kayla were silent because we didn't want him to see us. 

After a few minutes he turned down the path that led to the creek and we kept walking straight. "I wonder where he's going" Kayla said looking at him while he went down the path. "Probably going to meet Maddie" I replied rolling my eyes. "Wanna see?" she asked with a smirk on her face and stopped walking. "We can't follow him" I said implying that she was crazy as I stopped walking too. "Come on, you know you want to... plus we could just say we were taking the long way to the ice cream store" She winked at me. "no we ca- fine let's go" I laughed a little and started walking towards the path as Kayla followed. We walked all the way to the end of the path and we both saw Hunter a bit farther from the path sitting under a tree. He was sitting on his back and tears were rolling down his face. 

I felt bad but i knew I shouldn't have. 

"Stay here for a minute" I told Kayla. "Y/n don't do this. He hurt you remember" Kayla told me.. it's like she read my mind but I wanted to do this I couldn't see him like this. "Just please. I know what i'm doing" I gave her a slight smile then started walking over to Hunter. When I got there I sat down then lied down beside him. "I messed up" he said still staring up at the tree. "Just don't talk" I said in the nicest tone possible. Our hands were so close that i wanted to hold his hand tight, but I couldn't do that I knew I couldn't. I just placed my hand on top of his.. we weren't holding hands though.
