Fear of the Dark

Chapter 2

Its night time and my hair has changed to black because of the darkness outside, I always like my hair when it's so dark.

I have been sitting here on the pavement in front of the kids house for a few hours now, I heard that his name is Jamie. I stand up and look at the windows and just as I'm about to give up I see a figure on the roof hanging up side down and looking into one of the windows. Its the same figure as the flying boy. I walk closer to see if he starts to talk. Then he turns right side up and looks at the moon. He's talking to the moon. I seem to hear him but its very faint.

" If there's something I'm doing wrong, can you just tell me what it is? Because I've tried everything and no one ever sees me.." He says as he looks at the moon waiting for a response. I understand that he must be very tired of people walking through him and not seeing him but if I would have know about him I might have helped him sooner, that is probably why the moon doesn't seem to be responding to him.

" You put me here! The least you could do is tell me why." He says more annoyed.

I just stare at the moon as he says this. I walk away for a moment to ask the moon if I should help him.

As I finish my question to the moon a voice I recognize all too well comes from behind me.

" (y/n)! You're coming with me." The voice says. as I turn around I see Bunnymund and smile.

" Why whats going on?" I ask him still kinda smiling.

" No time." He says and takes my hand. I end up on his back as he jumps past the boy that was now standing on the power lines that run through out this old town. The plan was, apparently, to lure him to follow us. As we are going very fast I can't really see where we are going until we are in an ally. Bunny tells me to hide so I go in front of one of the buildings next to this ally. 

I can hear talking but can't make out what they are saying. Then I hear someone yelling quite loud.

" Hey! Put me down!" Is all I hear before Bunny comes and drags me down one of his tunnels. I'm back on his back and we are moving very fast again. When I can finally see again we are at the North Pole. I can kind of feel my hair change into this Christmas red colour. 

" (y/n)!" I hear someone call in a Russian accent. I see North come and give me a bear hug, I just smile.

" I love your hair." He then says and strokes it gently. 

I see a portal open and two yetis come out with a red sack that is moving quite a lot. I tap North to ask him what is happening but he doesn't look my way so I just watch what happens. The sack is thrown on the floor and opens slowly as the elves seem to circle it.

" There he is, Jack Frost!" I hear North say as the boy's head appears from the sack. So that's Jack Frost? I should have know. He seems to be shocked that he's at the North Pole. The yetis that came with him then pick him up to make him stand. Sarcastic comments were made about his arrival then North starts to introduce everyone. He starts with Bunny, then goes on to Tooth. She is very exited to be meeting him. I forgot about her obsession with checking peoples teeth. Her mini me's are as exited as her about this encounter. North then introduces Sandy who is actually falling asleep. I giggle as North hits him in the arm to wake him. Then he turns to me.

" And this is (y/n)." North says as he pulls me forward.

" Hi." I say kinda shyly. Jack's expression changes when he sees my face but he still looks confused.

" Have we met?" He then asks. I just smile.

" I saw what you did earlier with Jamie. It was impressive." I say and smile in his direction. He still looks confused.

" You probably don't recognize me because of my hair. It changes with the environment. I had this white ish silver hair when the sled accident happened." I say and he seems to ring a bell. 

At this point I'm just spectating. As North tells Jack he is about to be made a Guardian I laugh at what all the elves want Jack to do. Like wear pointy shoes. Jack doesn't seem to be having it and stomps his staff to the ground making ice appear. He refuses to be a Guardian because he says it too much hard work. They then go on to explain what a Guardian does. After explaining that each of the lights on the globe is a child and all the crap North goes on to talk about Pitch. After Jack laughs at the fact that they fear the Boogeyman so North turns to me.

" Have you seen him recently (y/n)?" He asks and I think to myself.

" No, I haven't seen him in a long time. I've been busy. Manny demands a lot of work, you know this." I say and most of the Guardians laugh at my correct statement. Their conversation keeps going until Bunny and Jack are at each others throats. I watch this happen closer then the rest of the Guardians and as they finish I step in between. 

" Ok enough." I say. 

Jack then goes off with North as I stay with the rest of the Guardians. Me and Sandy try to calm Bunny down but Tooth seems worried. She then tells us she has to go to the Tooth Palace as fast as possible and that there is something wrong there. She asks us to get North and Jack to come as well because she might need help. Then she flies out of a window. 

I have a bad feeling about this.
